Just that. People keep saying there will be a baby boom in 9months and I wondered is it true? Are people really having more sex cause they are stuck at home??

@ShiveringCoyote yes to the nocturnal wanderings. Doing my head in! I don't live with my partner so no extra sex for me, but if we did we'd probably do it most days

OntheWaves40 · 31/03/2020 09:42

No. Too stressed and worried to be thinking about that.

user1483387154 · 31/03/2020 09:42

if I had a partner then yes we would be. however I am alone with a toddler in a 1 bed flat.

I feel so alone

SimonJT · 31/03/2020 09:44

My boyfriend normally stays over once a week, he’s living here now and my son is a very good sleeper. No matter how much we try I don’t think either of us will end up pregnant 😂

AllRainbowsAndUnicorns · 31/03/2020 09:45

Christ, yes! Every cloud and all that. DH's vasectomy really was the best idea we ever had Grin

user1487194234 · 31/03/2020 09:53

Yes ,definitely but I am past child bearing age ,TTF

caffeinefix · 31/03/2020 09:54

No. We have a 3 yr old DS who is exhausting and I'm pregnant with zero sex drive. We are both working from home too and absolutely shattered.

Kim82 · 31/03/2020 09:55

No, if anything I’d say we’re doing it less than normal. Both me and dh are still working, coupled with the 4 dc at home all the time, the teenagers being up later than us then the 5 year old being a cling on through the day and trying to find the time to homeschool we don’t get any alone time whatsoever and fall into bed shattered with absolutely no desire to get it on.

BeijingBikini · 31/03/2020 09:55

Nope, if anything it's less haha

MindyStClaire · 31/03/2020 09:55

Toddler plus two fulltime jobs - hahaha no.

I did see a tweet that said if there was a baby boom in 9 months, they'd all be first born children. Never a truer word spoken.

Monkeybunkey · 31/03/2020 09:56

Sadly not. My DP is a lorry driver so he's still away all week. Weekends are about the same as usual. No baby boom though, childfree and intend to stay that way! My contraceptive implant has another 2 years left before it needs replacing so I'm hoping life will be back to normal by then.

ErickBroch · 31/03/2020 09:57

Yes, usually too tired from my commute but now we are usually at it at lunch most days now!

raspberryk · 31/03/2020 09:59

Normal amount for us, might be different if we didn't have the kids or we actually had some spare time.

rattusrattus20 · 31/03/2020 10:00

as i've heard said a number of times - if a baby room results from this, pretty much all will be firstborns!

gingersausage · 31/03/2020 10:01

Why on earth would you want to know?!

Changedname78 · 31/03/2020 10:02

Yes but only because I’ve been less tired with no rushing around constantly

polkadotpixie · 31/03/2020 10:03

Hahaha no.

I'm working my FT hours condensed into 3 days and DH is working the other 4 so we're looking after toddler DS on the opposite days whilst trying to keep working as we have no alternative childcare (he normally goes to my Mum)

I'd rather sleep tbh!

frillyfarmer · 31/03/2020 10:03

I probably would be, but I'm three weeks post partum with a second degree tear and without any contraception other than BF which I'm absolutely not relying on - two under three is motivation for abstinence over the stitches 😬

This whole shitstorm has brought us an awful lot closer though.

DesignedForLife · 31/03/2020 10:04

No. Being locked in with small children is exhausting.

TheCountessatHotelCortez · 31/03/2020 10:04

Absolutely not. I’m frontline nhs so it’s the last thing on my mind to be totally honest

Doilooklikeatourist · 31/03/2020 10:06

Yep , both been furloughed
DC all grown and moved out
I’m 60 though , so no new babies in the tourist household

crispysausagerolls · 31/03/2020 10:07

No because:

  1. for some reason looking after DS at home rather than going out to usual classes is 10000 x more exhausting
  2. it’s difficult not to feel very (unreasonably) resentful towards DH as he is working from home so physically he is HERE but he is no help at all. Plus he is sitting comfortably in a nice chair all day drinking coffee and looks like he’s having a fantastic fucking time rather than climbing up and down stairs for the millionth time or dealing with tantrum after tantrum for not letting my son pour water on the floor.
crispysausagerolls · 31/03/2020 10:08

Ugh also 3) he has needed reminding several times to brush his fucking teeth in the morning

LettyBriggs · 31/03/2020 10:09

No but I have googled the divorce process a few times. Smile

thecatsthecats · 31/03/2020 10:09

No children and we stockpiled condoms.

Draw your own conclusions.
