Just that. People keep saying there will be a baby boom in 9months and I wondered is it true? Are people really having more sex cause they are stuck at home??

I wish!

My partner and I don’t live together so we can’t actually see each other to get jiggy!

OJZJ · 01/04/2020 17:50

I am wondering if there will be an increase in FASD babies as apparently boozing indoors during lock down is also on the increase. It's one of the western worlds most prolific disabilities and yet the least known, researched or funded. It is more common than ASD, ADHD, cerebral palsy and Downs syndrome and even professionals don't understand or are even aware of FASD when dealing with it. Fasd can occur during any part of the pregnancy as the brain is developing throughout so there is no safe amount... the amount of parents I have met who say "I drank when I was pregnant and my child is fine" yet have a child with asd or adhd or some other condition (428 conditions related to fasd including heart, skeletal, brain)
Oh and Yes I am a mum to a wonderful boy who had no control over his birth mum poisoning him for nine months causing permanent brain damage through selfishness...sorry for killing this thread .....

I wish! Locked down alone. I too have a fantasy of my long term crush being locked in here. We are having regular video calls too (we are friends, I don't crush from afar)

Buggritbuggrit · 01/04/2020 18:01

Yup. At least once or twice every day. I have the coil, so we won’t be part of the post-Covid baby boom, but we are having a silly amount of sex.

Luna1984 · 01/04/2020 18:02

I found out I was of a week before lockdown 🤣

DanceItOut · 01/04/2020 18:02

For couples with no children or very young children that nap during the day then this may be true. We have a 7 year old and 11 year old. No sex is happening here. In fact with the added housework of having people home all day needing feeding all day and homeschooling I think there’s been less sex because I’m too tired 😂

Jack80 · 01/04/2020 18:03

Snap

Mumlili9 · 01/04/2020 18:05

After 20 years together we're still like rabbits, lock down or not lol

I have to say some of these comments have made me laugh so hard, thank you, very much needed at a time like this.

labazsisgoingmad · 01/04/2020 18:08

Usually its at least 3 times a day despite our age! but with my MH problems, i had a breakdown earlier in the week we have only made love twice more a comfort thing for me and a relief for him as he is not used to holding on so long!

womanfromvenus · 01/04/2020 18:12

No, less!
We have school age children and would usually get a bit of time in the week at home child-free which is obviously gone now.

aquashiv · 01/04/2020 18:12

Yes but not with himGrin

Wilkie1956mog · 01/04/2020 18:13

No! Adult daughter working from home here and we are all stressed for various reasons, aside from the virus. Not thinking about sex.

pooopypants · 01/04/2020 18:14

Fuck no. He's lucky he still has his manhood intact, let alone coming near me with it.

mummytraveller · 01/04/2020 18:18

nope, meant to be going holiday to see bf today so that's not gonna happen in 9 months time, the joys of long distance relationships, a lot of couples I know who aren't already living together r not isolated together either coz of jobs or kids

Genopy · 01/04/2020 18:19

Hell no.

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 01/04/2020 18:20

Nope. Same amount for us. DF is still working and we have an almost 11year old home anyway, so no more opportunities than usual here!!

Maybe for couples with no kids, or kids who nap there might be!

myfav · 01/04/2020 18:26

No. I actively wouldn't want another child now. Uncertainty of the virus, scans etc all alone plus less support if needed and then finally more competition for school places etc if there is a boom. I agree that most babies born in 9 months will be first borns.

TheVanguardSix · 01/04/2020 18:27

I just had a heart attack 3 weeks ago and nearly died going into cardiac arrest in front of DH! Sex is the furthest thing from my mind. I'm past having babies at 48 (tomorrow!). And with 3 kids roaming around and trying to come to terms with the fact that I had a near miss (plus being terrified of doing anything to err, exert myself), I wonder if I'll ever get laid again! Grin DH is also a key worker/medic on the frontline.
On the sunny side, DH and I are in a great place. Five years ago we weren't, but as we've gotten older (and the kids too), a really beautiful joy has settled in over the past few years. I'm really glad to be alive. I hope I can get healthy again.

Gutted2019 · 01/04/2020 18:28

My husband is taking social distancing to an extreme....

Crystal87 · 01/04/2020 18:30

Same as before, very often but obviously not during the day as I've got kids. If I didn't, then I probably would be.

rhowton · 01/04/2020 18:35

There was something t going round saying that in 9 months, there will be a lot of first born children being born but no second/third born children 😂

bakebeans · 01/04/2020 18:35

Two older teenagers in the house, thin walls. Time of the month. Managed to have a small quick quiet fumble at 5am 😂

user1472151176 · 01/04/2020 18:35

I wish! I have 2 small children. I suspect lock down without children would be much more enjoyable. More sex, naps, constant Netflix (if you're not working). I can't complain though. I've lost my job but my husband still has his and is working from home. We are together as a family unit and enjoying having breakfast, lunch and dinner together. I quite like having them around. My heart goes out to the many millions suffering through this lock down.

MollyMinniesMum · 01/04/2020 18:36

I wish!
