Anyone else’s skin terrible since lockdown?!

My skin has never been worse!

I haven’t changed my diet
I haven’t work any make up at all for two weeks
I’ve been showering as usual

My face is covered in huge (HUGE) spots.

Why?!

Me too. My skin is pretty temperamental anyway, TBH, but it's been especially rubbish recently. Stressful couple of months, we moved house a few weeks before CV got to be a problem in the UK. I don't normally wear makeup at all.

HighNetGirth · 28/03/2020 21:27

Take vitamin D.

Winter2020 · 28/03/2020 21:30

Have you changed your washing powder because you can't get your usual stuff? We have bought a different scent of usual powder and my toddler's face is covered in tiny bumps. My elder son used to be just the same if we changed washing powder. Need to look for our usual stuff.

Squirrelblanket · 28/03/2020 21:32

No mine is way better. Less make up, less stress, more water and exercise!

Purplestorm83 · 28/03/2020 22:01

Mine is way better than normal. I never wear makeup and have no skincare regime (I wash my face in she shower and put on some Barry M serum stuff once a week or so if my skin feels like it needs pepping up, but that’s literally it). Ironically I have been outdoors way more than usual as have two preschoolers to entertain so have been in the garden more or less dawn - dusk so I think that’s why.

goldenorbspider · 28/03/2020 22:07

Yes! Eczema break out and a few large spots. Can't get to a sun bed to sort eczema out and I'm never out the biscuit tin which doesn't help

stanski · 28/03/2020 22:08

Mine is awful too!

chockaholic72 · 28/03/2020 22:11

Full of acne - I’m consuming more milk because I’m trying to save eggs so I’m having cereal for breakfast.

RhiWrites · 28/03/2020 22:12

Yes, awful. I think it’s a lack of vitamin D.

Theresnobslikeshowb · 28/03/2020 22:45

I’m spotty and scaly too!

Whatsmynextmove · 28/03/2020 22:48

My skin is so dry on my hands it’s starting to crack and my chin is covered in spots. I’ve not been make up either so I do wonder if it is stress

PlanBea · 28/03/2020 22:51

I've got very angry stress hives Sad look like I've been attacked by a bunch of vampires!

mumieone · 28/03/2020 22:52

Yes ..I have super smooth skin and gave rash type bumps on both arms and breast area. I said jokingly today 'maybe chemtrail are true' and we've been sprayed in our back garden.

motherheroic · 28/03/2020 22:55

I've been letting my skin care routine slide and it is backfiring!

WhatNowFrantic · 28/03/2020 22:59

I've got huge spots on my cheeks and I've not had spots for years.
I assumed it was the ppe masks at work as they make me sweat so much!
Ive just plastered my face with sudocrem Grin

justbeingelle · 28/03/2020 23:19

Mine too! I thought not wearing make up would have made it better.

pippishortsocks · 28/03/2020 23:26

Yes, I have eczema which is cracked and bleeding all over my hands. It's keeping me awake as I keep scraping it on the duvet or pillow.

SleepOhHowIMissYou · 28/03/2020 23:38

No, the opposite, my skin is really clear. I'm guessing it's the reduced pollution and not bothering with makeup. I'm not eating so much shit either as I'm being careful with food to save on trips to the supermarket, that must be a factor too.

Whatevah · 28/03/2020 23:40

My two teens and DS have awful skin all of a sudden! DH was just mentioning it, sore red boil type spots on his neck etc. And teens have painful looking spots too, they usually have clear skin.
Dunno what it is, they’ve been out in the garden loads.

SleepOhHowIMissYou · 28/03/2020 23:40

My hands however, they're destroyed. Like crepe paper they're so dry from all the hand washes.

Mimishimi · 29/03/2020 02:21

Mine looks a bit grey

PussyWillowPeach · 29/03/2020 02:25

Yes! Mine has been awful and a few have popped up where they never do. I think it’s stress Sad.

stopgap · 29/03/2020 02:28

I upped my Retin-A recently to the highest strength, so my skin is looking amazing. My stomach, however, is an absolute disaster and I’m having stress-induced IBS most days.

blackberrysoup · 29/03/2020 04:31

Mine is terrible. Like a pp I have crepe paper hands now and multiple boil like spots which pop out creamy pus and blood. Thankfully not in a visible area.

redapplegreenapple · 29/03/2020 09:22

Mine isn’t as good as usual. In my case I think it’s because I’m not drinking anywhere near the amount that I usually do, because I’m so busy with the children. Also stress won’t be helping either!
