I'm using up some over ripe bananas and have a spice banana loaf in t'oven. I'll post a pic when it's out of the tin. As long as it doesn't look like the dog produced it.

Anyone else got delicious looking pics of food they've made? Not normally something I'm into but I think some of us are probably cooking/baking more than usual.

I cook from scratch a lot but haven't made a cake for a while.

Quiche for lunch, banana cake with mascarpone frosting for afternoon tea. Keeps me occupied.

I made banana bread with over ripe bananas. Used a mash up of a few different recipes so added choc chips and walnuts, veg oil instead of butter and self raising flour because we dont have plain flour left

I've got a Betty Crocker Victoria sponge packet mix in the cupboard that I've never used. If I added lemon juice and poured the mixture into a loaf tin and made lemon icing would it taste like a lemon drizzle cake.
DS has been asking for one for the last week but I can't get flour.

It won't be as dense as drizzle cake, but would still be nice, I think

Hot cross buns! All gone now, (don't tell anyone - I've got loads of yeast!). Might do some biscuits this afternoon.

DS2 has today made subs for tea from a copy Subway recipe.
Apparently we are having meatballs, homemade tomato sauce and cheese on them.

DS 1st attempt at wheaten bread.

Nice to see people's children being put to good use!

Homemade granola and raspberry sauce for breakfast tomorrow with natural yogurt.

Do you think it would be ok to make another one for my dm as long as I am scrupulous about the kitchen etc, handwashing....

It will be baked then left in the tin then covered etc.

Left on her doorstep obviously with her bringing it in etc

3 v soft bananas
Flour - note it was donated to me in a tub so it could be SR or plain

Oh and I have eggs! Sugar is granulated

Porridge bread x2
Jammy biscuits v crumbly base
Banana bread x2

Shared porridge breads, shared tiny bit of the banana breads as my two boys ( can't keep food with them, oh I think I am as bad now 😂) demolished breads super fast, shared jammy buns ( nice but wouldn't make again).
