To ask you to show me your baking/food?

I'm using up some over ripe bananas and have a spice banana loaf in t'oven. I'll post a pic when it's out of the tin. As long as it doesn't look like the dog produced it.

Anyone else got delicious looking pics of food they've made? Not normally something I'm into but I think some of us are probably cooking/baking more than usual.

I cook from scratch a lot but haven't made a cake for a while.

It should be wetter than normal bread dough, a bit sticky

Meant to say that when I use wild garlic, I add mustard powder rather than cayenne.

We made a chocolate cake and painted some rainbows today. Cake doesn’t look much but dc made it themselves and it was lovely.

I'm that bored

I don’t have time to get bored. I have become the family concierge-cum-slave. No bloody peace for me.

We have yeast!! Hallelujah. DD managed to get some when she went to do some (essential) personal shopping.

Now I just need strong bread flour. I should have some coming on click and collect tomorrow but we shall see.

From today's lockdown kitchen - Viennese whirls, first time of making!

After much trial and error, my sourdough bread is baked. Looks good doesn't it? Appearances are deceptive. As you can see it rose magnificently but stuck so tightly to the tin I had to leave half behind. It also has weird chewy texture and not a lot of flavour. Better luck next time I hope.

2 dinners! Herring salad with sour cream, radish and cucumber (which my Polish DP was appalled at because it’s not ‘traditional’). And chicken marinaded in chipotle, garlic, orange zest, coriander and ginger roasted, with a tomato/cucumber salad and garlic sauce.

Mmm, I love cured herring!
The sourdough certainly looks the part.
I'm having a go at burger buns today. They are proving by the radiator, so hopefully the cat won't ink himself on top of them!
