I'm using up some over ripe bananas and have a spice banana loaf in t'oven. I'll post a pic when it's out of the tin. As long as it doesn't look like the dog produced it.

Anyone else got delicious looking pics of food they've made? Not normally something I'm into but I think some of us are probably cooking/baking more than usual.

I cook from scratch a lot but haven't made a cake for a while.

Go on then, show me your grub Wink

@Spam88 ooh YUM! Can you post the recipe for the flatbreads? They look like they would taste amazing with tons of cheese on top and grilled Grin

MissConductUS · 02/04/2020 20:08

DH ran to the grocery store early this morning and picked up 3 4 pound bags of sugar. That's the only thing I was running low on, so on to more baking! Grin

TeddyIsaHe · 02/04/2020 21:33

Cooked! So good, even if I do say so myself.

@TeddyIsaHe It's just the Jamie Oliver recipe with some chopped black olives added.

My interpretation of cocido madrileño which is a Spanish 2-3 course meal cooked in one giant pot. You cook bones, meat and veg for 2-3 hours, then add chickpeas for the last 30 mins. Separate the liquid (caldo) which you reheat with soup noodles or rice for the starter. Then you strip the meat off the bones and mix with the chickpeas for the main course. More traditionally you eat the meat and chickpeas separately and add boiled cabbage, but it's easier for the kids if I just pre-mix it all. It's very tasty and filling!

You've all inspired me and it's cheered me up too Grin banana and choc chip loaf cake from the bbcgoodfood recipe posted pages back. I reduced the sugar to 100g and it's still quite sweet
