I'm using up some over ripe bananas and have a spice banana loaf in t'oven. I'll post a pic when it's out of the tin. As long as it doesn't look like the dog produced it.

Anyone else got delicious looking pics of food they've made? Not normally something I'm into but I think some of us are probably cooking/baking more than usual.

I cook from scratch a lot but haven't made a cake for a while.

@lostmyunicorn This may sound odd but does anyone have a banana loaf / cake recipe which doesn’t taste very banana-y.

My son loves ABC muffins, which aren't too banana-y (he went off bananas for ages)

Most recipes I’ve seen are 20C lower for a fan oven e.g. Bake at 200C; Fan Ovens 180C.

I made Delia gingerbread yesterday. It is delicious. Hilariously, the recipe suggests leaving it 24 hours before eating it. Not happening Delia.

I'm quite enjoying breadmaking. I'm getting quicker and DS loves it. I can see it becoming a regular Sunday morning task.

Where are you all getting flour from? I love baking and cooking but am on my last slivers of flour so being VERY careful as we can’t get flour ANYWHERE!! Not for over 2 weeks now ....

I had quite a lot of flour in the cupboard, but our corner shop also has it. Try small shops is my advice. The supermarkets around here haven't had any for at least two weeks.

I echo small corner shops for flour, it's where I've been getting mine.

Need to find some ways to jazz up cupcakes.

DD will only eat plain ones (though we colour them lot as of colours), lemon drizzle ones or chocolate ones. Going to try banana ones.

Anyone got any ideas? She doesn't like buttercream the little heathen.

Does anyone have a cookie recipe that uses medium oatmeal rather than rolled oats? Every recipe I google for oatmeal uses rolled oats and I’m not sure you can just swap one for the other.

Husband picked up a glut of peppers and tomatoes today. Already made roasted red pepper and tomato soup for the freezer.
