hey will be asked if their report concerns rule-breaking by an individual, group, or business, on what street, and at what date and time - by the minute.

It comes as police forces across the country face charges of 'overzealousness' from ex-MPs, lawyers, and human-rights groups this week.

Wow...

It’s not about thriving it’s about surviving. Tell that to someone who's about to die any day now from something other that CV19 - their end of life doesn't matter anymore does it? nice! We have lost all perspective - what a way to die!😞

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/03/2020 23:37

I’ve Worked under the Tory government before new labour, we had higher budgets back then and could provide more services.

When new labour got in our budgets got squeezed. The Tory’s have subsequently run with it.

Their lives are at risk not only due to lack of ppe but because their being exposed to a highly infectious virus that we have little immunity to. They can’t stay home, it’s not fair for people to risk their lives like this.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/03/2020 23:39

Your misinterpreting me, the population has to cut back on daily activities so they live. That is what the nhs needs us to do.

Patients on end of life will still get appropriate care. Why wouldn’t they?.

Alsohuman · 29/03/2020 00:05

When new labour got in our budgets got squeezed

That’s complete nonsense.

The average annual expenditure increase since 1958/59 is 3.9%. However, between 2000/01 and 2004/05 average annual spending growth was 8.7% which is higher than at any other time in the history of the NHS.

You won’t prosecute their parents because they’ve committed no offence.
You don’t decide who to prosecute.
Giving the public inaccurate information about the law erodes trust in you?
Please stop. The police need to be trusted. That means being trustworthy.

We have attended reports of a group of youths coughing at NHS staff stating they have Coronavirus.

The youths will be prosecuted as will their parents.

Parents/ persons with PR make sure your children STAY INSIDE. You too can and will be prosecuted if you fail to do so

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/03/2020 00:24

No, in our departments the budgets reduced. You’d come in 4% under budget and get told to reduce further.

We’ve cut our services literally to the bone, we don’t carry out vital services to at risk patients. That’s counterproductive because if they get a problem they become high risk which puts them at risk. So we see them after that when we should have seen them regularly anyway to reduce risk to their health.

It’s galling when you see people having nose jobs for cosmetic reasons & breast enlargement operations done with public money while our band 7s are ordering the cheapest dressings to try and stay under budget.

Alsohuman · 29/03/2020 00:47

I’m sure it would be very galling if it ever happened. I very much doubt you work in the NHS.

Inappropriatefemale · 29/03/2020 02:38

I only know of one person who had a boob job on the NHS and that’s Josie Cunningham, she was ‘the most hated woman in Britain’, apparently, and all because of getting a boob job on the NHS, some folks are very depressed due to not being happy with their bodies and it’s something you are unhappy with for years before the GP will put you forwards for this, there are all different reasons as to why people get them.

PhilCornwall1 · 29/03/2020 05:12

So, if my neighbours are curtain twitchers (they aren't), they would have seen me go out 3 times the other day, twice in the car, absolutely essential to get prescribed medication, or should I say not get it (very annoying!!) and then in the evening for a walk with my wife.

They could report saying I wasn't "playing by the rules", but actually I was.

Online reporting for this is going to be problematic. You could have neighbours that don't get on and malicious reporting will start.

Number3or4 · 29/03/2020 07:11

I’m predicting to be snitched on when I take my dc to my dsis when I go to attend a hospital appointment. Children have been band from hospitals. What am I supposed to do with them except take them to suitable healthy adults for childcare? It is a growth scan for my baby, so it can’t be postponed.

CakeItOrLeave · 29/03/2020 07:22

I hope they bring this to London. Those of us living in HMOs/shared accommodation having to deal with flat mates bringing multiple friends over EVERY DAY to hang out is not right. Especially when you’re in a vulnerable group. It’s only a matter of time until I catch corona from them; when that happens- God knows what will happen to me😓 I am so glad that those of you complaining about the idea are not having to go through situations like these.

saraclara · 29/03/2020 08:43

if the police have all this fancy technology, why aren't they using drones to track drug dealers, criminals etc

What makes you think they don't? They use drones for a lot of things. They haven't bought them just for the purpose of checking on people during lockdown. They use them to aid officers on the ground when chasing criminals, car chases, to look for missing people...all sorts of things.

I know people who've had breast reductions on the NHS. But that's because of the damage their large breasts were causing for their back. Seems eminently sensible to me - prevention over cure.

Upthehillanddownagain · 29/03/2020 15:48

It's the curtain twitchers that are going to be the problem.

I would have liked somewhere to report our neighbours two doors down who, yesterday, had nine cars in their drive - only two of them theirs. And which all left later.

And the car I saw with a single young male in it, with the number plates blacked out.

(Before anyone jumps on me for being out, I was going to the hospital for tests I'd been called in for, not CV related.)

So, who are the curtain twitchers then? Am I supposed to dit on my hands when I see the barber setting up shop outside down the back of our flats? No protection there its like a social club. Or, what about the drug dealers going about their business with full face masks on? Im in a big city and i would love a hotline number to ring. I am also a nurse and it sticks in my throat to think these very people will expect a hospitsl bed just like that.
