Just spoken to one of his family members. He works for his friend and earns about 45k a year. He fiddles his earnings down to 16k a year and his friend pays him the rest in cash so he has to pay less child maintenance (he has 0 access so this would be fairly high should he declare his full earnings). He is a safeguarding risk to our son and court ordered 0 contact, and I have a lifelong restraining order, so IMHO he deserves no sympathy. He's just been on the phone to this family member who described him as 'going mental' that he's only going to be paid 80% of what he's declared by the government. Apparently it's all my fault as if he didn't have to pay me child maintenance he wouldn't have to have fiddled the books in the first place 😅 cheered me up in my isolation...

Love it.

Brilliant.

Jux · 29/03/2020 00:37

Oh this is fabulous news! Of course, he's not going to be the only and that's brilliant. Chickens home to roost. Ha Grin

Mrskeats · 29/03/2020 00:41

My ex not filled in tax returns for years and never paid maintenance for his daughter (I found this out later) and gets cash in hand. He won't be able to claim. Karma.

UYScuti · 29/03/2020 02:22

But he'll have put money aside for an emergency like this☝️😊
money aside from all that tax that he saved with the cash in hand...
🤔Or maybe not🤭
Thems the breaks

I did so enjoy the announcement of help for self employed people, they deserve help too.
The criteria were wonderful and very, very clever.
80% declared income
nothing for anyone who pays themselves in dividends
nothing for anyone who has become very recently self employed.

These all apply ex who has declared an income of £0 to the CMS to avoid paying.

motherofadog · 29/03/2020 08:32

cloudbutter I'm thrilled for you. Schadenfreude is a wonderful thing. My ex never paid a penny in child support for our son, but paid for expensive presents and holidays that I could never afford because he never paid any child support. I once asked him to pay off my 300 quid overdraft and he was horrified: "I don't see why I should pay off your overdraft." My poor boy went to live with him as a teenager and very quickly discovered that he didn't have the wonderful dad he thought he did.

Brilliant karma is a bitch and I love her for it!! Comeuppance at its best. I'm delighted for you

starlight13 · 29/03/2020 10:02

He deserves everything he (doesn't) get. He sounds like a nasty person op. Let's hope that he doesn't need to turn to the NHS for help at this time because he hasn't paid into it at all with his tax evasion.

It’s good to hear happy news.

My asshole ex is very lonely at the moment living by himself so he wants to see our children who he’s refused to see for the past year. Fat chance prick. Those little rays of sunshine are going to stay safe in their home with me. SmileSmileSmile

Mitzicoco · 29/03/2020 15:41

Thank you for posting, this has made me smile. He bloody well deserves everything that's coming to him! Ha!

Cam2020 · 29/03/2020 19:59

Ha ha the chickens are coming home to roost for some. Enjoy the moment!
