no, a press is something which flattens things, a cupboard is called a cupboard.

Kewcumber · 11/09/2007 23:09

lol

Is it just as ridiculous to ask DH to put the toilet roll onto the toilet roll holder the right way round?
So that the paper comes OTT and not dragging down the wall??
I even give him that to remember, 'toilet roll is just OTT!'
I thought it would make him laugh and therefore remember, but to no avail

hahaha, that is me laughing at myself and, before anyone says it, I know I am lucky he doesn't leave me with an empty roll.
But actually, he does that too, and leaves the little basket with spares in it empty too!!!!

cluelessnchaos · 12/09/2007 11:16

I swear I have never noticed if toilet roll is "OTT" or against the wall, I cant think of anything slovenly that DH does, that hacks me off, apart from chucking his football stuff at the washing machine instead of putting it in.

Dabbles · 12/09/2007 20:16

oooh, controversially I prefer toilet paper to hang 'down the wall' but we have a free standign toilet roll holder thingy!

MegBusset · 12/09/2007 20:28

Argh toilet paper must be away from the wall .

Tortington · 12/09/2007 20:29

leave him hes a wanker supreme

Dabbles · 12/09/2007 20:30

Doesnt look very neat like that!! adn its not like it touches the wall... okay I will admit to turning the roll around if anyone ahs put it OTT!

(am beginning to think i have mild ocd... except that rest of house is a mess .... )

OP posts:
MegBusset · 12/09/2007 20:32

Yes but one's hand has to touch the wall in order to pull away the sheets

Dabbles · 12/09/2007 20:40

why would u have to touch the wall????

its on a toilet roll holder, which is some way away from the wall???

OP posts:
MegBusset · 12/09/2007 20:44

Hmm, in our old place (just moved last month) the loo roll holder was very tight against the wall so you would have had to touch the wall to get at the paper if it was hung that way round. I guess if there is a reasonable gap between paper and wall then it's not so bad.

Dabbles · 12/09/2007 20:47

lol! ok, well that does seem reasonable...

fairysnuff · 13/09/2007 16:46

I thought I would be laughed out of the building!!
Nutters! Yeah, I am not aloooone!!

Yeah, mine is tight to the wall so it does run down the wall. yuck

mytwopenceworth · 13/09/2007 16:53

Why is a cubboard a 'press'?

So I have a hot press, not an airing cupboard
a walk in press, not a walk in closet?
an understairs press?
a kitchen press?
2 presses in my sideboard?

I'm 33. It's not fair to change the rules on me now.

ScottishMummy · 13/09/2007 16:59

Dabbles lol im dizzy/confused reading about your press and which hand for which towel/which location

Bitty OCD - verging on Princess Anthea-Twinkletits territory

be glad he attempts putting them away and not left reekin in a pile where they fell
