Im 7 months pregnant and had a huge craving for a fish finger sandwich. I made one using the last of the fish fingers, loads of real butter on thick white bread and lots of ketchup and it was absolutely divine! Then my 2 year old comes along and licked the remaining half sandwich then coughed on it! I could cry Sad

OP posts:

I'd still eat it!Grin

TurquoiseDress · 24/03/2020 19:17

Oooh I'm off to check the freezer for fishfingers!

Namechange4nowt45 · 24/03/2020 19:19

OP kids always want what food we gave even if they are not hungry I think toddlers are naturally scroungers, I used to hide my food if I could and inhale it before my dd spotted it Grin

whatswithtodaytoday · 24/03/2020 19:19

I'd definitely still eat it. His germs are your germs at this age, surely?!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 24/03/2020 19:31

I'd eat it, I once wrestled some crackling off the cat when the little bastard nicked it from my plate and I had no qualms about eating that. Toddler spit is NOTHING to me.

Thekindofwindowsfaceslookinat · 24/03/2020 19:49

I love this so much Grin

ilikemethewayiam · 24/03/2020 19:52

I was drooling at your description of the fish finger sandwich. That’s exactly how I make it.....Lush!

Spud1802 · 24/03/2020 19:54

Not sure what sort of a person this makes me, bit I totally empathised with the OP's reluctance to finish the toddler-slobbered sandwich while thinking I would have absolutely done the same as the kitten-owner (and yes, I'm both a parent and a cat-owner).Grin

The post from the pp who sucks her toddler's snot out for him actually did make me nearly throw up though Envy (not envy)

GrumpyHoonMain · 24/03/2020 20:07

2 yo’s can run around bugs that can floor an adult let alone a pregnant woman. You should never share food with a toddler.

MikeUniformMike · 24/03/2020 20:10

I blame the parents.

GabsAlot · 24/03/2020 20:14

i want fishfingers now

Zombiemum1946 · 24/03/2020 20:18

I'd have given it a wipe added more sauce then eaten it.

flirtygirl · 24/03/2020 20:42

To all the people saying they would still eat, fucking gross.

No wonder corona virus spread so quick. Disgusting.

Tothemoonandbackx · 24/03/2020 21:04

@simonJT , O...M...G, please don't tell me this will have to be in my future 😬🙈 I couldn't imagine doing that with my daughter, and I'd die for her, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to do that 😂 Xx

dudsville · 24/03/2020 21:08

I wouldn't have eaten it op. I understand some would, and that's
Ok too, but it's bit for everyone. These are times to mourn even the small things.

PinkiOcelot · 24/03/2020 21:10

Just eat it.

penisbeakers · 24/03/2020 21:31

First world problems.

😂 if my toddler has CV I can guarantee I’m getting it too. This is probably one of the lesser gross parts of parenting too 😱

MysweetAudrina · 24/03/2020 22:29

If it makes you feel any better a giant sea gull landed on my head while I was walking along a busy city centre street and took my euro saver McDonald's burger clean off me. I was running between meetings and had no time for a proper lunch and decided to treat myself to a dirty burger. He clawed my head and faced and screeched at me to add insult to injury. If he had just asked for it I would have given it to him

Shopkinsdoll · 24/03/2020 22:36

Get a grip

SpillTheTeaa · 24/03/2020 23:04

No I couldn't eat it either OP 😂.
Not long ago I was on FaceTime to my mum and the car nicked her pork pie. I found it hilarious but she didn't as it was her last one!

SpillTheTeaa · 24/03/2020 23:05

Shopkins OP clearly meant it lighthearted.
Get a grip on yourself before being so rude. Lighten up a little bit!

SpillTheTeaa · 24/03/2020 23:06

Cat the car definitely didn't

Mumgonenuts2020 · 25/03/2020 17:57

I used to eat what my two always left as I didn’t want it to go to waste 😄😄
