Im 7 months pregnant and had a huge craving for a fish finger sandwich. I made one using the last of the fish fingers, loads of real butter on thick white bread and lots of ketchup and it was absolutely divine! Then my 2 year old comes along and licked the remaining half sandwich then coughed on it! I could cry Sad

My 3 year old coughed on the food I was cooking earlier.
I reminded him we use hands or elbows to cough into and then served up the food 🤷‍♀️

I'm only surprised it hasn't happened until now. Toddlers are dirty buggers.

I imagine it has happened before and I’ve just been blissfully unaware or forgotten.

Just eat it. My dog licked the chocolate I’d been saving last night and I went ahead and ate it. Saliva from your own toddler is deffo ok.

TwilightPeace · 24/03/2020 17:04

Put it in the bin!
The toddler that is......

Deathraystare · 24/03/2020 17:10

LTB . Oh you can't, he's little and you are on lockdown? String him up!

diddl · 24/03/2020 17:10

"She ate the fish fingers but sort of mauled the bread until it was a soggy saucy mess"

Got some taste thenWink

White bread has no place with fish fingersGrin

mumwon · 24/03/2020 17:11

ahem tomato sauce has vinegar - does that kill spit bugs wipe fish fingers in MORE tom sauce than eat (MINE ALL MINE HANDS OFF BRAT - I love you but at the moment I love my fish fingers more!) Grin

Sparklfairy · 24/03/2020 17:22

snivelling crotch goblin Grin

BeesandGees · 24/03/2020 17:29

I can’t get over the amount of you who would eat it....... yuck. I’d struggle before the kid got hold of it to be fair, but after that, nope, no way, I feel sick just thinking about it. And the kitten story..... omg 😳

MaliceOrgan · 24/03/2020 17:30

Ketchup has no place with fish fingers

fodderbeet · 24/03/2020 17:32

Just take the toddler back to the shop and swop it for one that treats fish finger sandwiches with some respect.

JoshArcherStoleMyTractor · 24/03/2020 17:33

My toddler licked my face about ten days ago then coughed on me multiple times, we've all had symptoms now and are on day ten of lockdown. I'd eat it

Littlepond · 24/03/2020 17:54

I’d definitely still eat it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Curious78 · 24/03/2020 17:57

Crikey, there's not many of us who wouldn't eat it 😂 As much as I love mine to bits, no thank you!

Curious78 · 24/03/2020 18:00

"My dog licked the chocolate I’d been saving last night and I went ahead and ate it"

Come on now, at least toddlers don't lick their own bottoms 😂

FabulouslyFab · 24/03/2020 18:01

Heartbroken?

uftmum · 24/03/2020 18:17

I'd have eaten it. You grew the the child its basically part of you, like your arm, but one that coughs on your fish finger buttie.

CurryGoat · 24/03/2020 18:36

I would eat it, but that's me, I've chewed gum from my kids mouths.

PieceOfMaria · 24/03/2020 18:43

I'd be eating that. Unless it had snot on it I'd definitely still be eating it.

I just fought the terrier off a bit of cheese and then ate it. In front of her. With 'nom nom' noises. She'll think twice before she raids my plate again. Bastard.

Fatted · 24/03/2020 19:10

Battered fish fingers or bread crumbs? It makes all of the difference.

ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords · 24/03/2020 19:12

My son is crap at blowing his nose so I still sometimes have to use my mouth to suck his snot out

What do you mean STILL? You say that as if it's something everybody does when their children are very young!

Yogawoogie · 24/03/2020 19:13

I would never have eaten when mine were small if I didn’t eat something they had touched, licked or coughed on.
It put me off of quavers for life. Mmm soggy quavers!

PracticallyPeeps · 24/03/2020 19:16

Thanks to this thread, I've just put fish fingers on my Sainsburys order. Yum!
