Swollen feet and hands - do I get checked out tonight or wait until next appointment?

Posting here for traffic, I hope that’s okay as I’m not really sure what to do in this situation as never experienced it before and could do with advice?

Posted earlier about possible preeclampsia. 36 weeks pregnant. Blood pressure rising, not high but high for me at 140/88. Usually get really good readings. Also protein in my urine past 5 samples and no UTI. Just noticed my hands and feet look quite puffy but can’t tell if I’m just being paranoid?

Do they look swollen to you? Excuse the nails I’ve been so slack on them lol. If they do, what should I do, get checked out tonight or wait for my appointment on Wednesday?

I’ve only ever been checked out for reduced movements so not really sure what to do here?

Glad to hear your update, hang in there Flowers.

CandleFlames · 08/04/2020 17:09

Just updating this. I awoke last night after having an accident in my sleep (bowels) and then was up with cramps and backache and my baby was kicking like crazy. Was up until 4am on the toilet. Came in today for monitoring and it took 45 minutes for me to meet the criteria and I only got 3 kicks. Have had reduced movements for 6 days now. Just had a scan and baby’s growth has dropped. 38+1 now with a csection next Tuesday. Nobody is listening to me when I tell them something’s not right because the machine is eventually meeting it’s criteria. I want him out ASAP, what can I do?

Insist. Insist again. Keep insisting. Cry if you need to.

Haggisfish · 08/04/2020 17:16

I agree. I’d keep going back and expressly say you want him out.

MuchTooTired · 08/04/2020 17:17

Refuse to leave and keep insisting that there’s something wrong.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, I had severe pe and delivered my babies at 36+5 (twins).

I’ll be thinking of you, and wish you all the luck in the world!

Just another update: after speaking to a doctor they have agreed to do the section tomorrow! Thank god.

Good news. Not long now then, less than twenty four hours and you'll see your baby. Thank you for updating.

Haggisfish · 08/04/2020 20:38

Oh that’s brilliant.
