To lament the loss of my nails *lighthearted*

I have spent the last 12/18 months growing my nails and strengthening them with the help of my lovely nail tech. I now have pretty nails every 3 weeks - the only remotely feminine thing about it - but now she has to close.

AIBU to be absolutely devastated for what will surely be the loss of my nails and return to butchered hands?

What's eveyone else's first world problems at the moment?

Wrong sort of milk in my coffee today. But is still have coffee!

I get my hair completely foiled every 4 months (blonde!) and it has been over 5 now and my appointment was cancelled for next month!! I was also Asking my nail tech on the event of every nail bar being shut so I’d have to take them off myself how to actually do it

My eyebrows are overdue a threading too. PCOS major facial hair! I'm going to have to attempt to tweeze them

Can’t get my eyebrows threaded because she’s closing Wednesday and I’m in isolation til Thursday. I’ll be rocking the mono brow.

I'm dreading taking my nails off. Did it in January when I couldn't get to the nail tech and it was a nightmare

Nails are fine as i do my own, but I have a pixie crop that usually gets cut every 5 weeks.

It's going to be quite a fright by June

I've stocked up on Primark stick ons :D I wear my nails very long and don't intend to stop

My fringe is ridiculously long. I have never attempted to cut it myself and I know with certainty that if I try, it will end up very slanted

I have no aptitude at this kind of thing. So I have decided to just ignore it.

I was going to go to the Benjamin Moore Paint shop on Saturday to pick a perfect shade of white but now I can't 😔

Just rub oil into them, OP, until normal life resumes. Especially the nail bed.

Yep I feel your pain! I'm a week away from infills and my hands are going to look awful!

Had readjusted my working week meticulously to spend more time with dc + ddogs...
Now stuck in with said friggin ddog and dc and no work!!

If we cannot get the infills, how long until they grow out? I will have stepped nails. Can they be filed down so it’s a smoother line between my nail and the acrylic?

I get gel polish every 2 to 3 weeks and I'm not looking forward to it growing out. Got them done last weekend so they still look good. I've tried taking the polish off myself before but it didn't work. This will be fun lol.
