Ditch the indigo!

How many people include the "colour" indigo in a rainbow? Isn't it time to ditch this absurd double blueness?

Richard Of York Grew Big Vegetables is just as easy to remember.

Vote YANBU for a less complicated rainbow!

Orange wasn't actually regarded as a separate colour until relatively recently; it used to be described as a light shade of red.

I love this fact
red heads
red squirrels
red foxes.

NONE of them are red, they are orange. Until fairly recently, we called orangey things red.
I think (but I may be wrong) that is was the actual orange fruit that caused the change, and our colour is named after the fruit.

All our language uses red when it means orange, as the language was 'set' before the colour was described.
