To think nappy pants are crap (dont read while eating)

Semi light hearted, although I am not laughing :/
How do you even use them so that the poo does not go all over the place? I spent the whole morning going everywhere to find nappies in the right size for my girl. NOWHERE has them, I was even prepared for some expensive options to tie us until I manage to get brands own stuff. No joy. The only thing I found were the nappy pants. Never used them before and clealry need some training in coordination.
Attempt 1- baby lying down- almost smeared the poo all over the legs trying to pull the pants down.
Attempt 2- baby standing, slightly better but toddler stepped in the nappy at the end :/
Any tips please?

They tear at the sides!!! You rip the sides and then roll it up like a normal nappy

If it's any consolation we are potty training which is just as messy!

@Amanduh Seriously I was not impressed, was wondering why so many people used them if they are so messy.

They're not as good as nappies at being nappies, and they're too much like nappies to be pants. Nearly pointless.

They don't just rip they are sort of velcro so if it turns out to have only been a fart you can stick the sides back together.

And you can put them on a standing baby. Can be easier than a very wriggly lying down baby

love this thread. I've loved nappy pants with both of mine, much easier to get on and off wriggly toddlers (standing up!). Plus pop one on your head as a pope hat for a guaranteed giggle

Yeah we found that out the hard way too. I don't really see the benefit of them unless you don't really need them iyswim- like pull ups. Horrible horrible mess. Horrible.

@TheMostHappy We dont have choice, nothing else in stores atm anyways so will have to do until people stop buying out all the necessary supplies :/ And I was lucky to get that pack!
