Missed a call on my phone. It purported to be from a Chester number. The message left was from a computer voicebox.

It said

I had a missed call on my phone allegedly from HMRC -

There is a tax fraud case registered in your name

You have to press 1 to get connected to the officer of HMRC

If in case you don’t press 1 and your call is not connected to us the warrant will be issued in your name straight away and you will get arrested shortly

Given the shit grammar and obvious scam nature I just laughed, but it is annoying that the authorities seem powerless to stop these cunts

Mine timed it well as I found out I had a CCJ from 2018 literally minutes before.

It did make me laugh that I was going to be arrested though. I no longer fancy prison since I've found out that they don't get to read all the books they want Grin.

Get a fair few of these - Amazon and Internet usually.
But the worst was when selling MIL's car on Gumtree. It had some accident damage which was visible in the pictures. For months (and I mean months)I had calls from people wanting to help me claim for my injuries.
My advice for anyone selling a vehicle on Gumtree is to use an email for contact not a mobile number.
