THis is mine, my first ever piece of art! It's currently packed away ready for the house move. I also have a canvas that is incredibly outed but I laugh every time I see it :)

Shinyme, I love your tulips. Beautiful shades.

Puffalicious · 15/03/2020 13:39

My old bench, which is about 200 years old. I love that my youngest has carved a bum shape on it.

An original Glasgow street sign- very relevant to us.

My favourite artist, Keith Pirrie. This piece celebrates life, even when you face the end : cheery eh?

I can’t post the photo of my family for privacy problems. 🤷🏻‍♀️

NotNegan · 15/03/2020 13:47

I'm really enjoying this thread.

I especially love that painting by a poster from her husband and that jug.

My favourite thing will be my drinks trolley as soon as I can find one!

My amaryllis is keeping me feeling positive.

In the background are some plates we bought on our first holiday together which give me a warm fuzzy glow when I see them. There are 3 plates, but Mrs Amaryllis is determined to take centre stage and is blocking one of them.

That's a beautiful clock you have, @LuciaLuciaLucia

Is it a Grandmother or a Grandfather clock - it looks quite slender so I wasn't sure if it's a lady Smile

I have name changed for this but my favourite is a painting my aunt did of my daughter walking along the street in Tavira after she lost a sandal at the beach. I absolutely love it.

That is a very good painting.

Beekeeper1 · 15/03/2020 14:52

This - about 230 years old, beats beautifullyand still keeps perfect time. I stroke it and talk to it every time I walk past! Definately the first thing ( apart from my family!) that I would try to rescue in the event of a fire.

This picture which hangs in my hallway, bought with money given to me by my Grandad as a moving in present 12 years ago. Always makes me smile

The top photo is my children at about 5 6 & 7. I mentioned to my daughter that I didn't have any pictures of them as adults so she secretly recreated the photo and took individual ones and gave it to me for christmas. Guess who cried?

BitOfFun · 15/03/2020 15:16

@ShirleyPhallus, I don't namechange, and don't feel I need to. I've never posted anything I wouldn't be happy for my hypothetical granny to read. People can find me quite easily, but I'm ok with that.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 15/03/2020 15:19

Mine is this painting. It’s by a fairly well known Canadian artist and we inherited it from DH’s grandparents.

My DDad took one look at it and said “Oh my goodness me, that is Sergeant’s Bay on Lake Memphramagog” and sure enough he was right - he grew up spending summers on a farm there. I miss my Dad.

BOF I’m with you, I am so out on here by everything else I have posted one painting is not going to make a difference. Yours is absolutely gorgeous by the way!
