THis is mine, my first ever piece of art! It's currently packed away ready for the house move. I also have a canvas that is incredibly outed but I laugh every time I see it :)

Love the car @SepiaTonedLove and painting @BitOfFun.

I have name changed for this but my favourite is a painting my aunt did of my daughter walking along the street in Tavira after she lost a sandal at the beach. I absolutely love it.

My bright red retro smeg fridge. I know they get crap write ups but it looks so good!

@BitOfFun
Gorgeous painting, such talent.

You have a fan on top of your stove, what do you think? Effective? Noisy? Thanks

PresidentBartlett · 15/03/2020 09:05

Currently this wall hanging my DD made for me.

These built in wardrobes, they are so well made and do the job perfectly-this is a photo of them just after they’d been finished (before we’d decorated the rest of the bedroom) well worth the money!

@billy1966 we have an open plan living room and the fam pushes the heat up the stairs. I bought it off Amazon for about 20 quid and it’s great, makes hardly any noise and comes on when the stove gets to a certain temperature. If you’re sat on the sofa that faces the stove you can really tell the difference.

Genuine. Are they a pair of Meezers? I’m well jell. 😹

@AlexaAmbidextra. Sorry, I just realised it looks like I have 2 cats. 1 cat and DD = my 2 favourite things in my house.
Havelock is a Ragdoll.

Currently these two things. The vase is huge and sits on the dining room table and makes me smile every time is see it, it’s ridiculously cheery.

The lamp is, I grant you, an acquired taste, but it also makes me smile whenever I look at it

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock that chair is a beaut!!

BitOfFun I also remember the picture from an age old thread, it’s still as stunning!

MistyIsland · 15/03/2020 11:21

My fire place - will dig out a photo! Absolutely crap at heating the room but amazing to have on. I love it! Cold winters evening and fire blazing, nothing more perfect.

postingintotheabyss · 15/03/2020 11:23

@coffeeaddict8 that's such a beautiful, quirky painting. How lucky to have that memory caught in time like that.

How2Help · 15/03/2020 11:29

IanHislopForPm I love that, it is exactly the kind of thing I am looking for to put up in my house!

When you say your first piece of art, do you mean you painted it or first piece you bought?

TattiePants · 15/03/2020 11:53

My antique French chandelier. I coveted it for about a year whilst we were renovating our house and had a mini panic every time I passed the shop in case it had been sold. It’s absolutely filthy but I’m scared to touch it!

I honestly don't know. Apart from pets, maybe today I'd say these flowers.

Oh, or maybe my bedroom curtains. They were my granny's from the 50s or possibly early 60s.

Lovely thread Smile

sheepysheep · 15/03/2020 12:17

Bit random but this woodpecker feather because my boys found it in the woods next to our house. We have quite a few woodpeckers on the farm and we love them.

Billy we have a fan on our wood burner. I’m not sure it works as well as the marketing would have you believe but it makes a lovely (quiet) ticking noise when it’s whirring and it’s really relaxing - obviously only when I’m home alone and reading a book ... once everyone else is here it’s inaudible!

This print. I first saw it as a post on Facebook and then managed to find one on Etsy

This jug. I saw it in a gallery window in Beccles about 15 years ago and fell in love. I’d be gutted if anything happened to it.
