How is it that the smallest member of our household ( who is a dog by the way, although it denies it) takes up the most couch? A spatial anomaly? I’d welcome folks’ thoughts.Tink.

I’m currently squashed on one side of my bed whilst my dog stretches across the middle

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 14/03/2020 23:07

@darbs76

Ditto Smile he does make a great bed warmer though haha!

And OP my ex had a tiny cat who somehow managed to takeover a double bed haha!!

Heismyopendoor · 14/03/2020 23:07

We have a small dog and she takes up the most space for sure! Especially in bed! She did kill a mouse this morning though so I’m treating her like a queen today!

Tinkerbell456 · 14/03/2020 23:10

Do they somehow magically expand?

OP posts:
MelAndShoe · 14/03/2020 23:10

Yabu to start a dog post without a photo

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 14/03/2020 23:12

Yup they expand like those kids toys u put in water that grow into a dinosaur or other beastie 😂

JulietTango · 14/03/2020 23:14

@Darbs76

Yes! How do they manage that? Then they look at you with distain when you try to move them

Tinkerbell456 · 14/03/2020 23:16

They really do have poky paws though, don’t they?

Tinkerbell456 · 14/03/2020 23:18

Mel, I would share a photo of my 29 kilo Weimaraner, but I don’t know how!

compulsiveliar2019 · 14/03/2020 23:20

It's ridiculous isn't it! I'm currently lying in bed unable to pull the duvet over myself properly because my lab is asleep on top of it. She is occupying 3/4 of the bed. She is a pro at making me feel guilty for making her move. So much so I'm lying here cold whilst the dog snores and kicks me in her sleep!!! Hmm

Elieza · 14/03/2020 23:25

My cat lies in the middle of the bed and expects me to bend myself round her while she snore-sighs contentedly. She’s only 4 kilos, not even a big 🐈. Damn cheek!

Tinkerbell456 · 14/03/2020 23:28

Let’s challenge these arsey pets! Reclaim our comfy spots!

OP posts:
Rationalcat · 15/03/2020 00:11

Op, maybe its your spatial awareness askew.
You think you got a Weimaraner, you got yourself a pomeranian.

SavageBeauty73 · 15/03/2020 04:51

Diagram needed 😉

LakieLady · 15/03/2020 07:47

My 14lb lakeland terrier, who can't be more than about 2' from stem to stern, uses her legs to treble her length. She stretches her legs out as far as she can, just so that she can take up 60% of a 3 seater sofa.

And if she hasn't got quite enough room, she makes a trampling motion against your leg with her paws, to make you move over.

labazsisgoingmad · 15/03/2020 08:43

my jackhuahua is in my chair and im sat on the floor!

SavageBeauty73 · 15/03/2020 08:45

This cutie is tiny but a bed hogger

Both my spaniels have very sharp elbows.

SlatternIsTrying · 15/03/2020 09:14

I voted that you were being unreasonable, because we all know that we are here to serve our pets, not the other way round.

Do the right thing, get off the sofa.

ThatUserNamesTakenTryAnother · 15/03/2020 11:52

I think it's vile 🤮 that people sleep with their dogs, ours isn't allowed on the furniture and is quite happy on the rug or in her bed

ErrolTheDragon · 15/03/2020 11:59

Dachshunds are particularly adept at using their length effectively.

NoveltyFunsies · 15/03/2020 12:01

I know the feeling! This is my current situation. That face is because I dared to move his outstretched legs so I could sit downGrin
