It's my anniversary
And we aren't going away
No budget really
What food shall I get in

My husband doesn't drink because he is a plonker, but I do like a wine

yum nuts

covetingthepreciousthings · 13/03/2020 13:03

I don't know if they still do them but their Detroit (?) pizzas are the best pizza we've ever tried, if you like pizza that is!

I'd also say Percy pigs, and bakery items!

This isn't a very fancy selection mind you..

Qwertygert · 13/03/2020 13:05

I agree yum nuts are unreal. The billionaires one is THE BOMB. Just soend all your money on them! x

Sorry happy anniversary tooFlowers

Auridon4life · 13/03/2020 13:07

Cream cake selection is my breakfast! I also got a lasagne and posh garlic bread for an easy dinner. Also their Floridian orange soda is amazing.

goldenorbspider · 13/03/2020 13:08

Chocolate shortbread biscuits

Bluewavescrashing · 13/03/2020 13:09

Extremely chocolatey biscuits

Auridon4life · 13/03/2020 13:10

Omg I forgot fresh ceasar salad dressing to dip pizza crusts in!

Smithesque · 13/03/2020 13:12

Iced buns with jam in them (pink topping) they don't sell them in my local M&S, just plain white iced ones sans jam ☹
Serrano ham chips (salty heaven)

dontgobaconmyheart · 13/03/2020 13:14

Controversial but I don't specifically rate any of their 'treats'- nothing is anything special and I find M&S food always always sounds much better in the marketing than it ever does to eat, no better than a supermarket generally. Extremely chocolatey biscuits for example yeah they're nice but it's just a copy of the same you can get anywhere but pricier.

The gianduja chocolate is nice, and harder to get elsewhere.

I'd probably just buy a nicer piece of meat, cook a decent meal and enjoy your wine OP.

RedPandaFluff · 13/03/2020 13:15

The tubs of flapjacks, chocolate mini rolls and caramel crisps. There's usually a 3-for-2 offer so obviously you HAVE to buy 3 Grin

AllDruggedUpWithNowhereToGo · 13/03/2020 13:15

If they still do it, I liked their lemon curd liquor... it’s not overly alcohol tasting (but is slightly dangerous because of that) but very lemon curdy and yummy!

Otherwise my M&S shopping list is: ciabatta, salad dressing, the biscuits that are half covered in chocolate, rhubarb and custard boiled sweets, pot of olives, maybe a rump steak if they look good, and a ready to cook potato dauphinois.

attillathenun · 13/03/2020 13:18

Percy pig muffins!

TwoZeroTwoZero · 13/03/2020 13:21

Those buckets of mini chocolate rolls and mini teacakes. They're the only things I ever buy from m&s.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 13/03/2020 13:24

Third the mini buckets of teacakes, flapjack etc

Mumdiva99 · 13/03/2020 13:29

Go down the chocolate aisle - Liquid salted caramels are delicious. They do a box with assorted flavours too - the chocolates are all metallic looking. A lovely treat.

Dixiechickonhols · 13/03/2020 13:33

Percy pigs

username108 · 13/03/2020 13:34

Pasta. I hear it’s a rare luxury treat nowadays. Grin

Fluffybutter · 13/03/2020 13:50

The Thai fish cakes are sooooo good. That to start and then a fillet steak , dauphinois potatoes and a huge bottle of Pinot for yourself

Hollyhobbi · 13/03/2020 13:55

Lemon tartlets from the bakery. Delicious. Also veggie percie pigs. The only things I usually buy from M and S.

mynameiscalypso · 13/03/2020 13:57

The San Francisco sourdough from the bakery is the best bread in the world.
