It's my anniversary
And we aren't going away
No budget really
What food shall I get in

My husband doesn't drink because he is a plonker, but I do like a wine

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 13/03/2020 16:51

Do you like figs? Then look in the furrin section for Rabbitos. Figs filled with brandy truffle dipped in chocolate. Bliss.

SunshineCake · 13/03/2020 17:20

I still mourn the loss of the garlic and herb crisps and the strawberry and cream Colin caterpillars.

I like the salmon parcels and their cheese and onion crisp bakes are a lot nicer than I expected.

VetOnCall · 13/03/2020 19:40

A full-size Colin the Caterpillar 🐛 Grin
Chocolate chip cookies from the bakery
Clotted cream & honeycomb ice cream
Cheese scones from the bakery
Cheese boule from the bakery
Salted butter
Percy Pigs
Pre-cut mango
Salted tortilla chips
Thin cheese crackers
Extremely chocolatey biscuits
Praline chocolate bar

SRK16 · 13/03/2020 19:50

Colin!

SomethingOnce · 14/03/2020 00:18

Stockpile Colins.

Lovesgood · 14/03/2020 10:50

Those figs sound amazing. Which isle are they in?

Oldraver · 14/03/2020 10:54

The four Percy Pigs

CSIblonde · 14/03/2020 15:01

Their all butter popcorn is the bomb... I'm drooling just typing that. And their fishcakes.

tinybluerose · 14/03/2020 16:06

Honestly the oldsters are panic buying in M&S
you will be lucky to get a bag or crisps

StrawberrySquash · 14/03/2020 21:08

@SunshineCake, you can get a Connie who is strawberry flavour. Is that similar?

OP, salted caramel fudge bites covered in chocolate. Come in a bright yellow bag.
In store bakery cookies, double chocolate.
Trésor chocolate bar: a praline with crunchy bits.
Giant chocolate buttons - much bigger than Cadbury's giant ones.
The beetroot side salad.

SunshineCake · 14/03/2020 22:09

Mine were sweets, not cake StrawberrySquash.

Missingmemarbles · 14/03/2020 22:40

They sell the most delicious Eccles cakes. Really rich, buttery and packed with fruit. Not sure if they sell them every where or just in the north though.

Gemma2019 · 14/03/2020 23:27

Their salted caramel walnut whips are delicious

cultkid · 16/03/2020 23:08

Ok so I didn't come back to update

As usual ( I go to M&S about twice a month because I don't like the traffic and waiting in shops 🙀)

Boule bread
Duck and orange pate
sable grapes but they weren't as good as usual
Custard slices or cream slice whatever they are called
Trifle
I got the 30 day aged sirloin but I prefer veal I couldn't get it this time
Coquille st jacques
Coriander and garlic prawns
English champagne
Fudge (I don't eat it but husband said it was good)
Some really nice soft cheese a bit like port salut I can't remember the name
Smoked trout
Pomegranate
English champagne

I also got mushrooms in a creamy sauce which I actually made into a pasta sauce in less then ten mins for the kids which they loved
I fried bacon and added peas and Parmesan
Served it with angel hair

We enjoyed it
Most of all I enjoyed being child free and eating in peace

Tell me where to find the figs

I am looking forward to M&S being on Ocado!

I love their apple, walnut and beetroot salad (looks like a very pink coleslaw). I'd go out of my way just to get that.

StarlightLady · 17/03/2020 03:51

Champagne, small bottles. Lots! Oh, and knickers! New knickers always make you feel good.
