To ask if you've upset a "celeb"?

I was very upset confused & amused to find that Noel Clarke has blocked me on Twitter.

I've never even interacted with the bloke & I really like him as an actor & the films & tv shows he's in. No fucking idea how I've come to be blocked 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Have you ever upset a celebrity? Did you knick Baby Spice's parking space? Did you spill a drink on Keith Chegwin?

Guz Khan the actor/comedian has blocked me on Instagram - I added him one day and then the next day I was blocked! Confused

Ikeasucks · 10/03/2020 16:52

First person to block me on Twitter was ... Cher! I got into a few scuffs with a few famous arsey footballers when i was a barmaid in the club they frequented

Emmapeeler1 · 10/03/2020 16:54

Gordon Ramsay swore at me once when I was crossing a road (He was in his car).

Ronia · 10/03/2020 16:55

I was working at an awards event once and handing out the passes to guests in a hotel near to the event venue. Barry McGuigan (Irish boxer) came along and I asked him his name. He was unimpressed

Yup. When I worked in London, years ago, I went flying through the doors of Rocket Records, and nearly bowled over Elton John . In mitigation he's only about the same height as me when not in his platforms. My excuse is I wasn't looking his way. He didn't seem very pleased.

Shinycat · 10/03/2020 16:58

@QueenOfOversharing

I wouldn't care if Noel Clarke blocked me because I have no idea who he is.

I have never been blocked by anyone. Not that I know of.

CornflakeBreath · 10/03/2020 16:58

You might be on a list that gets automatically blocked by him. You can block most people with different political views etc in one sweep apparently.

Emmapeeler1 · 10/03/2020 17:01

@QueenOfOversharing Grin

No but I wish I had!

Hagbeth · 10/03/2020 17:02

One of the Swedish political party leaders blocked me for just politely disagreeing with him. Grin

BrimfulofSasha · 10/03/2020 17:02

Celebrity in the loosest sense - I once very nearly hit Darren Osborne-from Hollyoaks with my car. I was driving through the town centre and he was doing a guest appearance at a clu...he just ran across the road in front of me. I hit the brakes and he slammed both hands on my bonnet and started shouted "Do you know who the fuck I am". Prick!

NurseButtercup · 10/03/2020 17:03

@QueenOfOversharing

Not one single photo!

I only followed him because my friend told me he posts funny stories.

Hagbeth · 10/03/2020 17:03

On Twitter that is.

Honeyned · 10/03/2020 17:03

I was on a day trip to London as a young teen about 17 years ago and went in the huge Topshop and turned around and the model Erin O'Connor was behind me looking at clothes. I sort of just stared stupidly for a minute and she caught me and said really loudly to her friend 'rrrretard!' and rolled her eyes Blush

PyongyangKipperbang · 10/03/2020 17:05

I was once knocked flying by a bloke with bright orange skin and sunglasses on in a shopping centre. He was looking at his phone as he walked and mumbled an apology and walked on. I was cross and said "try taking the glasses off and putting the phone away! Arsehole..." didnt think I'd said it that loud but I must have done as a very shocked Robert Lindsay turned round and said "Err, yeah, sorry" and went off looking very pissed off.

He was touring as Onassis in a play which explained the fake tan but not the sunglasses inside .... Hmm :o:o

DeltaAlphaDelta · 10/03/2020 17:07

I once refused to let Nancy D'ellolio into an event, as she wasn't on the guest list. She swore at me!

QueenOfOversharing · 10/03/2020 17:10

@CornflakeBreath I had no idea that was a thing! I know I was able to follow him at one point as I did when Bulletproof first season was on.

Wonder what keyword I hit on! 🤔😂

I was tasked with looking after a moderately famous author at an event years ago. I've got a hard to pronounce name and I complimented him on how he got it right straight away.

Anyway, later on I had to show him the way to the lav and on the way back took him by mistake past the audience who were waiting for him who all started to applaud wildly - he was mortified that they would know he'd just been for a wiz Hmm and punished me for the rest of the night by ostentatiously mispronouncing his name.

arsehole

QueenOfOversharing · 10/03/2020 17:12

😂 Darren Osbourne "do you know who I am?" Omfg! Jeff Capes went into a chip shop in my small hometown, ordered food & didn't want to pay, pulling the same shit. He paid. Big hairy twat.

Erin O'Connor - wow, what a bitch.

OP posts:
sleepyhead · 10/03/2020 17:13

Mispronouncing my name that should be. It would have been even more weird to punish me by mispronouncing his own name.

RubbishSwimmer · 10/03/2020 17:14

I should have upset Bob Mortimer, as I stood on his foot in my stiletto heels.

But he was bloody lovely about it, and then made me and my mates laugh for the next few hours.

Just wanted to get that out there Grin

QueenOfOversharing · 10/03/2020 17:14

@sleepyhead the name of this game is give us a name 😂😂

OP posts:
QueenOfOversharing · 10/03/2020 17:15

@RubbishSwimmer that's nice of him. We'll allow that - I'll add him to a list somewhere.

Claudia Winkelman, sort of.

Many years ago I was in the Strictly green room before the show. She leaned over me asking if she could take the Doritos (or whatever) from the table beside me. I said "no they're mine" with a big smile on my face to make it clear I was joking - she just looked at me like Confused

Yourteaisgettingcold · 10/03/2020 17:17

She isnt really a celeb (and neither is he I suppose) but I apparently upset the partner of Gaz, who was in geordie shore.

She had been peddling weight loss shakes during pregnancy by claiming they were for vitamins, then when she had her first kid she was showing off her weight loss and saying how quickly she had managed it.

Good for her but not everyone wants to eat/drink weight loss shakes during pregnancy, or after it, plus she started off (presumably) naturally very slim so I pointed out that while it was nice shes happy with the way she looks her post had the potential to upset a lot of new mums (I was one myself) as we cant spring back like she did, may not want to or care if we do, or wouldnt go to the lengths she did in order to do so. I was actually really nice about it but I still got blocked.
