To go get baby’s movements checked out?

Some might sigh to read this and say ‘just go’ but I’m wondering if I’m just being a hypochondriac. I’m 34 weeks tomorrow and the past two days I haven’t noticed as many movements, and they’re not as strong either. However yesterday I slept in late, and was taken straight out for my surprise baby shower and didn’t get home til late. I put my straps on and felt some movement, so I stopped worrying. Today they’ve still felt like less, I have felt him but it just doesn’t feel the same. But because I have actually felt him I don’t want to waste anyone’s time. Would IBU to go get checked out or should I stop worrying?

Also, any tips on how to get him moving more?

If this happens again further on in your pregnancy please don’t be complacent and think it was fine last time I’ll just be wasting their time. I went in once at 30 weeks as no movement - turned out baby got themselves into an awkward position that meant I couldn’t feel the kicks. It happened again at 39 weeks and I felt reluctant to call just incase it was a waste of time but remembered the midwives first time at triage and my community midwife drummed it into me that I had to make sure I let them know if it happened again. I was induced that night. It’s never time wasting.

Hi OP - really hope everything is okay on the scan.

Newmummy1234 · 10/03/2020 17:15

I hope it goes well today.
I had repeated changes to by daughters movement and went in every time. Fine every time until the last when I was induced. Good luck xx

Hi everyone, thank you for all the well wishes. I had the scan and they said everything was fine but blood flow was on the low side of normal? Baby’s movements have been a bit better today and the midwife has told me to monitor them today and if they’re still off to come in tomorrow for another trace. Hoping everything’s alright and he’ll continue being active today.
