Please.. Anything!

Anything positive going on in your life right now that you want to shout about? Something that had made you smile or cheered you up?

Or even some positive world news?! I just can't take anymore corona threads! Grin

My mother In law just finished a painting, and she can't see that it clearly looks like a vagina.

isseywith4vampirecats · 28/02/2020 22:25

My baby learnt how to pull himself into a sitting position today and had the biggest grin every time he did it. That definitely made me smile.

Not really shout worthy though Grin

WutheringFrights · 28/02/2020 22:26

We are going to need to see a photo of the painting!

RickOShay · 28/02/2020 22:26

Grin @theneighbourswindchime
I just can’t too that
It’s the best news

MrsTerryPratchett · 28/02/2020 22:27

I was at work in my shiny new office and the woman, long retired, who first made me what to work there popped in. She's very happy and so am I!

LangClegsInSpace · 28/02/2020 22:27

I had a haircut today and I'm really happy with it.

Ginfordinner · 28/02/2020 22:29

My sister learned today that her breast lump isn't cancer.

Emlou07 · 28/02/2020 22:29

I love this thread and everyone's responses

I'm pregnant after a difficult journey. I'm so tired from work but can't sleep because I'm excited. It's going to be a long 9 months 😂

Toria70 · 28/02/2020 22:31

I've done my first day back on the 16:8 way of eating, and I've managed it.... even though my stomach is really really empty right now Hmm

I'm quite happy with myself for once.

Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 28/02/2020 22:32

I have had a rough few weeks with an unexpected surgery and I then got an infection and burst Sad grim so had to have another surgery! I have been having to go in daily to get my wound packed and today got told that I only have to come in every other day! chuffed!!! finally a light at the end of the tunnel!

InfiniteSheldon · 28/02/2020 22:33

My 3 Yr old said I love you for the first time today

TORDEVAN · 28/02/2020 22:33

I got "promoted" to bi-monthly doctors visits for my PND :D finally coming back towards normal

I ventured to twin club and it went really well (big step for me in my PND recovery journey) and my twins sat for over 2 seconds unaided each!

My eldest (toddler) was crazy excited about being in a shoe shop / getting her feat measured / choosing shoes

My husband got a much needed tax refund

Whitelisbon · 28/02/2020 22:34

My boisterous, noisy, always in trouble for something, but amazing 6yo ds got a special award at school today for being "the kindest boy in the playground" Grin (not a generic award, I got a phone call from the headteacher to let me know the reason for it)
I dont care that he's not reading at the same level as his twin sister, or that his handwriting is atrocious, or that he has the attention span of a gnat. He is the kindest boy I've ever met, and that's much nicer!

TheNoiseHurts · 28/02/2020 22:34

I found out that I can apply to be a HV student a year earlier than I thought. So that's good!

I doubt I will get through, I have 24 hours to get the application done but at least I can get feedback and be even better next year when I thought I could apply. And if I get an interview, same applies, and if I get in?! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

glawglaw · 28/02/2020 22:35

My mum, in her 70s, is off to Vietnam in the morning, for a 10 day culinary tour. It's her second trip there - and the feast she made for us when she came back last time were amazing, so I really can't wait for the next feast. I love the fact that she is adventurous, courageous and defiant - everything I hope I've inherited (plus the recipes in due course!)

Glitterb · 28/02/2020 22:37

My Mum has finally showed signs of recovery after a bleed on the brain 3 weeks ago, which has resulted in 3 life saving surgeries. We were told on Sunday they would be thinking of turning her machines off the next day, they have given her a few more days with new medications and so far so good, only minimal improvement but honestly I am so proud of her for fighting. She really is my hero

RoscoePColtrane · 28/02/2020 22:37

I work with children with complex needs and today a child said "up" to request a cuddle.
Congrats to all those with lovely news Flowers

Wynston · 28/02/2020 22:38

My god daughter got a first class honours in her nursing degree....i think she is amazing.

tasharichford · 28/02/2020 22:39

We got told on Monday that we are getting the house we wanted! First own home, we have always rented. So excited I could burst!

notcycling · 28/02/2020 22:40

For the first time in 9 years I don't have a credit card to pay off! I've always had between £200 - £600 on it, always. This is the first time I've completely paid it off and it should stay that way thanks to a recent promotion.

TheNoiseHurts · 28/02/2020 22:40

@RoscoePColtrane, me too! I absolutely love it when a child I work with that has PMLD or similar learns something new or takes a step further. So rewarding.

undercoveraessedai · 28/02/2020 22:41

I spent the day with my best friend and am now curled up on the sofa with three hot water bottles and occasional visits for cuddles from the cats. It is my idea of a perfect Friday!
