What could you NOT do, even if your life depended on it?

LIGHTHEARTED

After commenting on another thread that my worst nightmare would be to have to dive underwater & resurface somewhere else. You always see it in films & they look like they’ll run out of air. Or they do it on Bushtucker Trials.

I can’t even watch it on tv / a film - gives me such anxiety. It is related to a PTSD issue, so that makes it maybe a bit more understandable, but I’m not sure I could do it, even if my life depended on it. Obviously, I’d have to try... 😬

What, if anything, would you struggle with?

Tile a bathroom. My 5 year old would do a better job.

Rhapsodyinpurple · 24/02/2020 12:14

I have useless upper body strength too, so wouldn't be able to do monkey bars. I once had to crawl on my front through a tight gap in a cave and that still gives me shivers even now.

Voila212 · 24/02/2020 12:14

Cycle a bike, tried learning as a teenager and I got the ground so many times, I just gave up. Maybe with stabilizers...

Hugsgalore · 24/02/2020 12:16

I'm another who cannot touch feet..... shudder....

I couldn't walk across that glass bridge either or look over the edge of a cliff. I strangely have no problem with heights just a massive fear of falling to my death!

I also wouldn't be able to run for my life or hold on for dear life!

Purplelion · 24/02/2020 12:16

Anything involving being trapped in a small space. I’m very claustrophobic. Add water into that and there’s no way in hell! I get anxiety in a swimming pool

confusedandemployed · 24/02/2020 12:17

Caving. I mean, what sort of insane do you have to be to do that for fun?

QueenieMum · 24/02/2020 12:17

Hula hoop or do anything involving heights.

K456789 · 24/02/2020 12:18

Parallel park, even though it did it on all 5 driving tests (& I failed for other reasons) 🙈

Bloomburger · 24/02/2020 12:19

Eat something vile. The pictures of the young Chinese woman ripping apart a whole bar with her teeth whilst grinning 🤮

Getting in dirty water. I don't even have bubbles in the bath as I can't see below them.

Oysterbabe · 24/02/2020 12:20

Most of these tbh 😂

Bloomburger · 24/02/2020 12:20

BAT not bar.

QueenOfOversharing · 24/02/2020 12:21

Caving. I mean, what sort of insane do you have to be to do that for fun?

Exactly this!

TheWordWomanIsTaken · 24/02/2020 12:21

caving
scuba diving in dark water
touch a snake - makes me feel nauseous just writing the word tbh
eating food like octopus or squid or frogs legs or snails - just no

Bloomburger · 24/02/2020 12:21

Oooh High things, fucking pot holing or geocaching (is that the jumping off rocks into equally rocky water). Glass bridges 😖

QueenOfOversharing · 24/02/2020 12:22

Until your correction, I was thinking more along the lines of Bourneville. YANBU

Bloomburger · 24/02/2020 12:22

Horse riding. Horses are fucking scary and you can't tell what on earth they are thinking.

I'm starting to realise I'm a great big Jessie reading this thread.

jackstini · 24/02/2020 12:22

Touch or eat spiders
I know it's completely irrational but just....NO!

puds11 · 24/02/2020 12:24

Bunji jump. Fuck that!

QueenOfOversharing · 24/02/2020 12:24

I'm terrified of heights, so that glass bridge of doom - nope. But I could jump off a cliff into water. Well, if being pursued by someone trying to sign me up for caving or an amphibian shark.

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 24/02/2020 12:25

Is the Chinese glass bridge the one where they’ve put some sort of LCD on the flooring to make “cracks” appear when people walk across it or is that something else? I must confess to giggling at some of the people’s reactions on YouTube but if it happened to me I would piss myself out of fear on the spot.Blush

Mine would be anything involving snakes or crocodiles. Or anything involving heights. Basically anything of the tasks on I’m A Celebrity

dottiedodah · 24/02/2020 12:25

Nearly all of these TBH! Cave Diving would be so scary (has anyone watched Steve Backshall on Sunday eves "Undiscovered Worlds" where they are the first people to discover a network of Caves in Mexico?) Simply breathtaking ! Hes quite a big guy and has to squeeze through the tightest gaps. Makes me feel worried just watching him! Dont fancy jumping out of a plane either or eating insects .

QueenOfOversharing · 24/02/2020 12:26

@Bloomburger I love horse riding. As for what they're thinking, I'm of the opinion that they're whispers a bit dim, so probably "grass... ooooh need a poo... runny abouty bit..."

OP posts:
FlamingFreezing · 24/02/2020 12:26

Eat meat or seafood. I’ve tried over the years as I’ve always had low iron levels so it has affected my health, but I just can’t. Really can’t eat anything that was once alive. A bushtucker trial a la I’m a Celebrity would be my worst nightmare.

nowlook · 24/02/2020 12:26

Walk across a rope bridge suspended at a height of more than 6 feet.

Pick up dog shit. No matter how many bags you gave me. Gagging just thinking about it.

QueenOfOversharing · 24/02/2020 12:28

@nowlook was just going to message you asking if you could help me with something... "dog related"
