To ask for a handhold?

Hello all,

GoJetterBoy after 2 years of fighting has finally lost the energy to fight, I’m currently sat with him in hospital, having come in a few days earlier for pain management.

I really need a handhold right now...

Thank you all for your kind messages for GoJetterBoy and I, ive been reading them to him and in his most lucid moment yet, he asked “mummy friends?” I told him yes, and that you’re all behind him. He settled back to sleep, with a little smile.

Would everybody mind if I kept this thread updated for however long this may take? Your messages are keeping both me and him company and encouraged, xx

OP up until now I’ve been a lurker rather than a poster on this site but am now compelled to post. You DS sounds like a fantastic wee boy and your love for him is obvious. I’m so sad you have to go through this and wish you all the strength, courage and handholds you need.

You don't need to ask. Just tell him that you have lots and lots of friends sending you both as much love as they can right now
