To ask for a handhold?

Hello all,

GoJetterBoy after 2 years of fighting has finally lost the energy to fight, I’m currently sat with him in hospital, having come in a few days earlier for pain management.

I really need a handhold right now...

“Too special for earth” reminds me of someone I lost many years ago, I had that feeling so strongly about them too.

Your little GoJetterBoy sounds wonderful, thoughtful and such a lot of fun.

I remember someone telling me that when god took a child. It was because they were so special that they needed their angel wings

Hello, I don't know if it will be of any help to you or whether you are at all religious or believe in God etc.
But in my religion, when a child passes, they go straight to heaven and they wait for you there. Thoughts and prayers with you at this incredibly difficult time.

This is the worst post to read - I'm there with you, handholding & listening to you tell me all about GoGetterBoy. My DS is much older, so I don't know GoGetters - but I do remember the passion & excitement of a 7 yr old. I hope you are both surrounded by love & strength in this terrible time. I don't know you, but I wish there was something I could do to change this. Hold tight to your beautiful little man. 🙏🏼

He is wonderful, writing me good luck letters and making me pictures at school when he was well enough to go,

The way he would scuttle onto my lap for a cuddle,

Lean in as if you kiss my cheek and whisper “can I watch YouTube on your phone?”

And his thirst for knowledge, so many questions, why? What? How? The way I found him staring at the window and as if deep in thought told himself out loud “I wish I knew how it was made” cue an emergency trip to the library to find out how
