Just that really!

Love hearing peoples holiday/break ideas and plans!

We shall be flying to Italy and doing 4 cities there, then flying to somewhere hot, sunny with a pool for 10 nights or so to relax after all our sightseeing.

Me, dp and 1 dd.

Whats your plans?

Two weeks in Namibia. We are staying in a mixture of high(ish) end safari lodges, guest farms and government lodges. Going very much off the beaten track and hope to see lots of wildlife.

I've been saving my pennies and we decided life's too short to put it off any longer.

I lived there for a year, so I can't wait to show my children. It's a beautiful country with a fascinating history and culture ( and delicious food!)

Mummyshark2019 · 24/02/2020 00:09

Thinking Dominican Republic this year but not sure. Love this thread as I may get inspiration!

We live in southern Germany which is quite nice anyway so we will stay at home and go for day trips out to lakes and mountains and the park for picnics and bike rides.

MadamFlutterby · 24/02/2020 04:48

We decided not to travel abroad this year, so are going to go to a UK coastal place for a week.

Hopefully all this coronavirus thing will be resolved next year we will go to Australia and Singapore then once DD has finished her A's.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 24/02/2020 04:57

A week bike touring in Slovenia with a friend and a week camping in the forest of Galloway with other half

DustyOwl · 24/02/2020 07:12

We live on the south coast and have, embarrassingly, never been more north than Manchester (and it was only for a day.)
We have a friend in the highlands so last night we decided that at Easter we are going to drive the length of the country with our two boys, wish us luck.

colinsleftnipple · 24/02/2020 07:20

One week in Gower at Easter.
A week in Devon in August.
Several 1/2 nights away by the sea between now and October.

BadLad · 24/02/2020 07:24

Maldives with DW
Florida just me
Barcelona with friends later in the year
Dubai at Christmas with DW

KoalasandRabbit · 24/02/2020 07:25

We've got River Kwai in Thailand, Perhentian Islands in Malaysia and Borneo booked and was really looking forward to it but will have to see how coronavirus develops as to whether need to cancel / things get cancelled. Hope not as £2.4k of it is non-refundable.

okiedokieme · 24/02/2020 07:33

Various weekends planned, road trip to the Scottish isles, cruise later in the year (not booked yet), already been away long haul - the great thing about adult kids!

New dp so it's all rather exciting

MinnieMountain · 24/02/2020 07:40

Wells-Next-the-Sea for May half term.

2 weeks in Pembrokeshire in August.

Reading PPs plans, we really should go somewhere more exciting next year.

TwoleftUggs · 24/02/2020 07:47

First year ever I haven’t got any holidays booked - want to see how this Coronavirus thing pans out first. Would usually be going to a French or Italian holiday park, or the canaries. I’ve lost my travelling mojo through (irrational hopefully) fear, so seeing some of these idea might help.

EatDessertFirst · 24/02/2020 07:52

Five nights in a cabin on the shore of a Scottish loch. DC and I cannot wait!

ManyShades · 24/02/2020 07:53

Planning not to go away this year. Ds said to me he wants to stay home this year. I think he gets anxious about holidays. I really hope we get some nice weather here.

NemophilistRebel · 24/02/2020 08:00

We wanted to do Italy but those plans are on hold with the way Coronavirus is going out there. Not worth the risk

Looking at Slovenia and Cornwall for a few breaks at the moment

Ahitsallover · 24/02/2020 08:02

NYC next month(first time for DCs, they are v excited), Rome in October. Festival in August and lots of lovely UK camping in between. All those road tripping around Scotland - we did the NC500 a few years ago in a motor home, one of the best holidays we have ever had ❤️

Beebumble2 · 24/02/2020 08:06

France in May
Spain at end of June
Vietnam in Sept, but holding off final booking to see what Corovirus is doing first.
