I know super personal but just out of interest.

I’m 5,4 and 13.5 stone- size 14 ish. I’ve just had a baby so losing weight slowly, aiming for 11stone. Which would be the higher end of my bmi, however I feel like I’m too thin and it’s not sustainable any lower even though I’m short..

Dress size very dependent on build as well I find
I’m 5ft, 7st, small size 6 (very petite build so I don’t actually look thin)
My daughter is 5ft 10, 11st and size 10-12 (quite solid build)

Hellokittymania · 23/02/2020 18:27

I am 5 foot, 6 1/2 stone and sometimes size 6 fits, sometimes not. I have very small shoulders, so it’s hard to find things that look nice. I’ve gained about 15 pounds over the past two years, I used to be 75 pounds… So not even six stone and it was really tricky then. I was in kids clothes a lot of the time.

Frenchw1fe · 23/02/2020 18:30

5’4” 8st 12 and size 10-12.
However I’m over 60 now so I need to tone up especially my arms and stomach.

OhTheRoses · 23/02/2020 18:31

Edgewater
Yes a lb is a lb but can you not see that a lb of grated cheddar will have a greater volume than a block of cheddar.

By volume muscle is heavier than fat.

Catapillarsruletheworld · 23/02/2020 18:34

I’m 5ft 3.5, 10st5 and a size 12. It’s the biggest I’ve been apart from when pregnant. I feel I should do something about it, but I also feel that I like food and dislike exercise.

Silenttype · 23/02/2020 18:36

5ft 1. 9st 4lbs. Size 8 on top, 10 bottom.

FrankieGoesToLiverpool · 23/02/2020 18:37

@edgewater

The point was that 1lb of fat is a bigger space in your body than 1lb of muscle. So someone with a low body fat (moi - 18.5%) will look very different than someone with 30% body fat and the same height/weight/BMI.

I have friends who are as tall as me, weigh within 1/2 a stone and we all look very different!

BeFire · 23/02/2020 18:38

5'4" 12 st size 10 top, 12 bottom (10 if it's stretchy, I have a really small waist).

Firsttimelottie · 23/02/2020 18:41

5ft 11.
16st 7 lbs.
Size 14 on top
16-18 on bottom.

YappityYapYap · 23/02/2020 18:41

I'm 5ft 4, weigh 13 stone and I'm a size 16

Hellohellohi · 23/02/2020 18:43

5ft4 size 10 and 9st3

Marchitectmummy · 23/02/2020 18:43

5'9" and 8 stone 7ish and size 8 sometimes 10 depending on brand.

Pilot12 · 23/02/2020 18:45

5"2, 9.6 stone, size 12

Bubblemonkey · 23/02/2020 18:46

5ft 4, just under 16st & in size 16 jeans/14 tops.

YappityYapYap · 23/02/2020 18:47

These threads puzzle me too and some must be telling porkies! There's no way on earth, taking different body shapes etc into account that someone who is the same height as me but 3.5 stone heavier can be a dress size smaller than I am 😂. How ridiculous!

Straycatstrut · 23/02/2020 18:48

5'3

8 stone something, probably closer to 9.

I'm a 10-12. If I go down to 8st I get a lovely boyish figure with no breasts or curves, straight up and down, which I don't like. Like having actual breasts (not padding!) too.

user159 · 23/02/2020 18:49

5ft 9, 12st 9 size 14.
I get told I look more like a 12 but I am broad, both shoulders and hips so carry weight on bum and upper thighs which can be easier to cover. Fairly flat stomach, (12 months post partum) and boobs that luckily suit my frame so I think overall I look balanced, if nothing else! I was half a stone lighter when I fell pregnant so that is the aim for the summer!

5ft 6
10 stone 2
Size 10, sometimes a 12 on the bottom

stickerqueen · 23/02/2020 18:53

I'm 5ft6
last time I weighed myself I weighed 46kg and I was 6 months pregnant before pregnancy was 40kg
I wear a size 8 in most things sometimes a 6
I've never been heavier than 50kg.
I'm scared to weigh myself now because I don't want to know how much weight I've lost since having ds.

Bubbletrouble43 · 23/02/2020 18:54

5 '3 , size 12 , haven't weighed myself for months but I suspect I'm still 10 st 7. I'd like to be 9 st 7 or less and a size 10 as I am actually quite small in frame but have packed the pounds on post 40.

ShadowCats · 23/02/2020 18:54

5’6, 9st 12lbs, comfortable size 10.

But bear in mind body shapes and muscle mass vary significantly between people.

Herringbone31 · 23/02/2020 18:55

I’m 5’3. 8.12. And a size 8-10. Occasionally a size 6 in places like Boden.

Herringbone31 · 23/02/2020 18:56

@stickerqueen

I hear ya. I was a size 4 till I was 30. The comments I used to get. I ate like a horse!

Though at 42jgs. I would just go get checked xx

Fifthtimelucky · 23/02/2020 19:03

I'm 5'2 and just over 12 stone, which would be depressing if I hadn't been 3 stone heavier last year. Hard to say what size I am - depending on where it fits and the make, it's anything from 14 (tops) - 18 (trousers).

I had a bit of a Christmas blip but am back on track and hoping to lose another 2-3 stone this year.

I'm 58.
