To get so fed up with the towie and MIC lots pregnancies

Every time one of them is pregnant, they act like they are the only woman to ever get pregnant. There are daily articles about them online and they post on insta constantly talking about the struggles they face. They have very public baby showers and gender reveals and it feels like they are pregnant for at least a year!!! We do not care what type of baby you are going to push out.

And then after the baby, within days, they are posting pictures of their post partum body! This then gives unrealistic goals to us 'regular' women.

Why can't they just go about it quietly like the rest of us? I think I'm more irritated by them because I've just had a baby and they make pregnancy and birth seem like the easiest, most fun thing ever and that isn't reality. Pregnancy is difficult at times and all births come with their own little complications or problems.

Just give us a break!! And stop peddling shite on Instagram too. Smile

I feel sorry for them that they can’t do this quietly tbh

Crunchymum · 22/02/2020 13:54

Who is pregnant from MIC?

Have we learned nothing ? Just turn off their social media if you don't like it. But don't call names. Please be kind.

mumsneedwine · 22/02/2020 14:03

Well done millerjane. Realised it wasn't nice and took it away. We need to all do this.

I asked for it to be deleted the second after I posted it.

ohnooutofdateham · 22/02/2020 14:06

I never see any of this. Stop looking at 'insta' and reading gutter press if it bothers you.
The people reading this crap are funding this shite.

Sleepyquest · 22/02/2020 14:07

@RositaEspinosa I guess you are right. I think I'm just frustrated with the social media culture in general.

I don't even follow any of them but yet they still seem to come up when I search for things Shock

OP posts:
Bezalelle · 22/02/2020 14:27

Just don't watch! Don't follow in social media. Job done.

whiplashy · 22/02/2020 14:28

Stop reading the daily mail

Ughmaybenot · 22/02/2020 14:30

Ah if that’s what they want to do, crack on. Block them if it bothers you that much.

mrsbyers · 22/02/2020 14:31

Come off Instagram or unfollow them - seems simple enough

Notsureabouthis · 22/02/2020 14:33

I don’t see it because I don’t follow all that crap. Easy to avoid if you choose!

Onetwothreeeee · 22/02/2020 14:35

I don’t know why it bothers you so much. They are getting paid for it. It’s a job.

LittleRootie · 22/02/2020 14:36

I agree it's become a very unhealthy industry but if people stop paying attention it will fade away

anotherlittlechicken · 22/02/2020 14:52

@Sleepyquest YANBU. I loathe these type of publicity hungry talentless nobodies.

Billie and Sam Faiers get on my tits. And FTR I don't WATCH them, they are on every bleedin' ad break on ITV2! Hmm

I also detest Myleene Klass and the very irksome Giovanna Feltcher.

They really boil my piss. All of them.

anotherlittlechicken · 22/02/2020 14:53

What is this 'why does it bother you' nonsense?!

People are entitled to post their views.

Don't read the threads and respond to them if it BOTHERS you. Wink

LionelRitchieStoleMyNotebook · 22/02/2020 14:55

I've seen none of this, I actually watch MIC and have no idea who's even pregnant. You need less social media in your life and stop reading the daily mail.

LionelRitchieStoleMyNotebook · 22/02/2020 14:56

I also don't watch ITV2 and any TV I do watch I tend to have recorded so FF the ads

wheresmymojo · 22/02/2020 15:02

I don't see any of it (and I watch MIC) so you must be following them on Instagram or other social media, reading the DM online or gossip rags.

So just stop doing those things and the problem is solved

glitterstarsshower · 22/02/2020 15:10

I find a lot of the mummy bloggers/mummy social media ‘influencers’ or whatever they’re called with the Facebook pages quite annoying and boring, everything is just tired cliches about pregnancy and motherhood.

BritWifeinUSA · 22/02/2020 15:12

Plenty of “real life” women are the same. I “unfriended” my brother’s wife on Facebook when she was pregnant because every bloody day there were at least two posts from her and all they all started “because I’m pregnant...”. And minute-by-minute updates. She posted about nothing else. Absolutely nothing. And it wasn’t even her first.

mumsneedwine · 22/02/2020 15:21

No. People are not to people are not entitled to post their views. They can have their views but who gives anyone the right to judge anyone else. BE KIND. Those people you find vile and hate (without ever having met) have families and feelings. So maybe don't be a troll.
