Tyson Fury's sons' names

I have vaguely heard of Tyson Fury but today I read an article about him in The Mail (I know!). He has 5 children and 3 are boys all named Prince!

I mean how can they all have the same name? I assume they have nicknames at home but even so what is the point of naming them all the same. It's just totally weird and really seems rather stupid

I did wonder if there was a Prince something to differentiate them - Prince Michael, William and Harry, but apparently it’s just Prince x 3.

I agreed with him vs his wife on the educational front.

Tyson Fury said women belonged on their backs or in the kitchen.

I couldn't give a shit what he calls his children but he's not a good man.

My sons just commented that they would quite like to have the same name because people get them mixed up so often. If they had the same name it would always be right.

Pretentious. That's hilarious - the most unpretentious people you could meet. Gypsy culture means different names. I also know the family and they are lovely people.

He can complain that he's sorry and he didn't mean it and it was all a game as much as he wants, but he said it. If he didn't believe it but said it for money, that might make it worse, not better. I hope he loses and loses badly.

Surely they are all called Prince because his "nickname" is The Gypsy King-therefore he said his sons were all princes! They have second names to distinguish them.

@steff13 Paris wants them to be raised as travellers and leave school at 11, and Tyson does not as he knows other travellers will follow his lead.

I honestly cannot say a bad word about him after what I saw of that documentary.

As for the names it is normal gypsy culture, as Tyson says maybe one day one of them may take over his title of Gypsy King.

Honestly it is annoying! Seeing my DH's family is so confusing as they all have the same name's 🥴 children always get named after their parents and other close relatives... they were not very happy we only gave our children family middle names.

Both boys and girls are often out of formal education. The boys are often travelling with the fairground ( not in Tyson Fury’s case perhaps) and it is quite common for the boys to be given their own ride about this time. So they learn to be responsible for it rising early and making sure everything is ready. The boys are often very good at Maths as in adding up quickly. They sometimes find things like geometry more difficult.
A lot of the children are expected to help at an early age. The girls tend to leave about fourteen and by then have learnt cook and clean to a high standard but quite a few are now wanting more with a few wanting to go to university. Quite a few go into beauty as if they move they can still do this.

I think the DM is being quite disingenuous with its captioning. Traveller boys often have common names different to their christened name.
