Why are you awake?..

In no way an AIBU but hey ho!

I always read these threads when I'm awake so I thought I would start one.

I am 37+3 & have been awake for an hour with the worst heartburn ever! Taken 5 rennies over the course of the evening & have drank copious amounts of milk which is doing diddlysquat!

So why are you awake?

It's my fathers funeral tomorrow and it's on my mind. I'm home alone and missing the distractions of company.

Lost my mum at the end of last year, and it’s her birthday today. Missing her.
Flowers for everyone awake and having a hard time.

Sorry to everyone going through tough times.

I’m awake because the smoke alarm in my bedroom started beeping at 5am. The dog and I came downstairs to escape it. The OH still snoring through it.

Frownette · 20/02/2020 05:55

I'm snuggled up with my tea sashh.

I've been up most of the night as it's a new place and I don't know where everything is. There seems to be only one cup. I bought sugar and milk on the way here last night.

Heart goes out to you all xxxxx

crazycatlady7 · 20/02/2020 06:02

@amehh he wants me, he latched onto my breast for a few mins, we cuddle doze and repeat. Will give him to my DH at 7 am to get some sleep.

ElbasAbsentPenis · 20/02/2020 06:08

I was up at 3.30 because my nearly 3-year-old tends to wake up for the day around then. For years now everyone has been telling me the sleep will get better, but it doesn’t. I am basically going insane.

Smoggyloggy · 20/02/2020 06:11

Been awake since 5am cos of the lashing rain bouncing off the windows - it got into my dream!

triptrapdollydumpling · 20/02/2020 06:22

Sending good wishes to those of you struggling. KOKO.

Rache49 · 20/02/2020 06:29

Very awake here. Not pregnant just not a sleeper. Thing is it knocks my day out as I sleep till lunch time.

To the person with Heart burn , I avoid milk and other dairy and have clear drinks like water and herbal teas and thin soups. Hope this helps.

amehh · 20/02/2020 07:56

@crazycatlady7 sounds similar (without the boob!) DD gets up, cuddles and dozes, I put her down and she rests for 10 minutes then starts grunting and shuffling again until she is upset and we repeat. She is still tired, not wide awake, each time but just won't go back to sleep properly. Hope it doesn't last too long, I'm shattered!

crazycatlady7 · 20/02/2020 08:08

@amehh me too! I'm exhausted and so lucky (really thought I wouldn't say this) that DH was made redundant two weeks ago as he can take him for the odd hour so I can sleep
