It's not children who slammed her on the media. It's not children who tweeted shit. It's not children who tore her apart on MN.

Adults don't seem to know how to be kind themselves. When you want to find someone to teach to be kind - just look at yourself.

Schools definitely try to do their bit. They are held back by parents who insist schools deal with bullying and want their children to be taught social skills but think it's the other children who are in the wrong, not their dcs. They also fail to appreciate that they are role models so bitching and gossiping (including about teachers) is copied by the children.

This. Whether it’s engaging in gossip about someone’s weight, clothes, income, life choices; buying trash magazines that are basically a vehicle for gossip, using click bait newspapers sites, watching the steady stream of reality tv and thinking you’ve got a right to pass comment - if adults can’t manage their own behaviour the kids have no chance.

It’s not the schools job to foster a child’s developing value base, that happens at home and if at home a child is sitting with parents commenting on others lives and life choices in a derogatory way, they’ll learn that that’s ok.

If people didn’t buy and buy into this shit, papers and websites would stop creating the content. The people buying it aren’t children.

The House of Commons is a hotbed of kindness.
