As in if you are calling someone a (k)nob - I see it without a k all the time. Is it slang like cum rather than come?

OP posts:
captainpantbeard · 11/02/2020 06:44

It’s either (you nob)

MyNewBearTotoro · 11/02/2020 06:45

I agree it’s spelt knob.

Feenie · 11/02/2020 06:54

Fact.

AriadnesFilament · 11/02/2020 06:54

Knob

ClashCityRocker · 11/02/2020 06:55

I vote for nob.

Isn't it from the world 'noble' meaning a posh git, and where the word hob-nobbing comes from?

And then it was adopted to mean a bit of a dick?

hawaiianturtle · 11/02/2020 07:01

Knob

Fairylea · 11/02/2020 07:05

Knob.

LakieLady · 11/02/2020 07:07

I think it depends on the context. Knob for someone who's a dick, and nob for posh nobs!

Harrietf21 · 11/02/2020 07:10

Knob. As in knobbly or door knob or hill. Something that protrudes (a dick).

Nob in the posh sense is a different word.

ThroughTheRoses · 11/02/2020 07:22

Nob. When I see 'knob' I initially think of a door knob. When I see 'nob' I know exactly what the writer means!

DappledThings · 11/02/2020 07:37

Knob for someone who's a dick, and nob for posh nobs!

Agreed

GCAcademic · 11/02/2020 07:52

A "nob" is a posh person. A dick is a "knob".

daisypond · 11/02/2020 07:52

Definitely knob. A nob is something different- from noble.

mantarays · 11/02/2020 07:52

Pretty sure Nob is a hobbit.

So glad I'm not alone 😂

I've always used knob because nob just doesn't looks right to me 🤔 also my autocorrect doesn't recognise nob as a spelling... However I've learnt my something new for today regarding nob is a derivative from noble.

AhoyMrBeaver · 11/02/2020 08:05
