DD has her birthday today. 3 friends are arriving in an hour. They are 'sleeping' over.

I doubt there will be much sleeping.

Help.

@Stompythedinosaur good work - but I still await your final verdict with glee interest!!

I wish you all a peaceful night. And plans for the morning sound very good.

They were asleep by midnight, it seems. But they have been awake for an hour now.

What can I lace my coffee with?

Well, I made it! How's everyone else doing?

Haven't cleaned up yet though...

I had seven 7/8 year olds sleepover for my daughter's birthday. It was midnight before the last one fell asleep, but one of them was up every 30 minutes crying. Lost my shit at around 2am and tried phoning her parents, multiple times, but they didn't answer! This carried on all night long. It started to wake the other kids around 5am. All kids were awake by 6am. Last kid left at 10am. Took me a week to recover!

Never sounds like the stuff of nightmares!

All gone and cleared up but no one coming out of pjs today. It's definitely easier when they're old enough to just leave them to it - they were up until gone 2am but I was fast asleep by 11pm and thankfully they had the sense to keep it down enough not to wake me!

"Who would like breakfast?"

"Full English, please!"

~small child and I eyeball each other for a full 30 seconds~

"Well, I'm not sure we have everything for that, but we have lots of other breakfasts. We have panca-"

"PANCAAAAAAAAAAAAKES"

~Inward sigh of relief~
