This is just today
1.) 8.99 on worming tablets for dd
2.) £20 on birthday presents for twins in dd's class
3.) new slippers for ds as he lost the ones we bought a month ago
4.) Overpriced vegan stuff, it is getting cheaper but it's taking a while. Why is vegan mayo never on offer, or why can't you get tofu for the same price as shit ham? I'm not vegan but going that way and I can't believe how much extra everything is
5.) petrol, just because it isn't very exciting. I only top up once a month but it reminds me of how much I used to save before we had a car.

DP just walked into the flappy bit you open when you put fuel in. Luckily we live near the show home, and had to pay £14 for a new one. He blamed the petrol station.

£54 to get 2 new light bulbs replaced - the are meant to last 5 years , lasted 3 and whole fitting needs replacing.

Sixteenbars · 08/02/2020 12:56

Stuff I don't need is, chocolate, wine and chippy chips, because I restart my diet on Monday.

On a plus note I had to buy two pairs of size smaller leggings (I'm dressing to accommodate my weight loss). But hope to be out of them in a month. I've also bought a Cross trainer.

iklboo · 08/02/2020 12:57

A new roof sign for DH's driving school car. His last one blew off on the motorway - luckily sideways into a field. £60 + VAT.

strawberry2017 · 08/02/2020 12:59

I bought my husband a football shirt for Xmas, I managed to turn it blue but no problem, thanks to doctor beckman I got it white again but in the process managed to put it on a wash too high and melted the writing off the top.
£50 down the drain - currently sat outside the shop whilst he buys another one so all in £90 wasted! (It's in the sale now!) 🤦🏼‍♀️

Rubychard · 08/02/2020 13:01

£1000 on garage bills Oct-dec
£60 for a vets bill with a clueless vet where the pet died
£75 for a new windscreen

In sure I could go on

IHaveBrilloHair · 08/02/2020 13:01

Number stickers for my bins

Burlea · 08/02/2020 13:03

£500 on the car. A woman in an old banger smashed her door into our rear door, a couple of inches lower and it would of been an easy repair.
Witness came forward with a photo, but before we get to our car she moved it.
Informed the police and what a surprise no insurance on hers. Police are only charging her for having no insurance.

KatnissNeverdone · 08/02/2020 13:04

Three types of new dance shoes for DD2 as she's grown out of her old ones for the third time in 12 months.

Sports bra for my huge boobs. £40 and I need 2!

Simonfromharlow · 08/02/2020 13:07

Birthday present for my ex husband from the kids.

thebear1 · 08/02/2020 13:07

Subscription magazine app that I don't use but stupidly forget to cancel. So it is my own fault.

user1493413286 · 08/02/2020 13:08

Petrol, a burglar alarm and drain unblocker

HearMeSnore · 08/02/2020 13:09

£60 parking ticket. My own fault - I didn't notice the sign that said 90 minutes and stayed for 2 hours. Have parked there before and there were no restrictions - this is all new.

What bugs me is the car park was empty. It's not like I was taking up a space where somebody else needed it...and it's free parking anyway - I wasn't trying to avoid paying. Just didn't see the sign.

dementedma · 08/02/2020 13:09

£700 MoT bill. Fucking fucketty fuck.

thenightsky · 08/02/2020 13:14

£2,000 for a new oil tank. We noticed little splits across the top of the old one and when we ordered more oil, the tanker driver refused to fill it up when he saw the cracks.

AhhARadoxBath · 08/02/2020 13:15

Getting the clutch done on dh car.. Ok. So just the kit he fitted himself so no labor costs.. £300
Less than a week later his engine blew..
Car scrapped now. Then had to buy a cheap run around

Ds uniform. He's outgrown his. Logo'd only so pricey. £150 later juts in t shirts and jumpers. But in Yr 10 the color changes so this is only to last till July but in reality the jumpers will Be ditched at the first sight of some sunshine

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 08/02/2020 13:15

Haven't spent it yet but I have to MOT a car I'm giving back to the lease company shortly after.

MaggieMagpie357 · 08/02/2020 13:16

£500 on a new mattress. Which we definitely need, but hard to swallow in January (especially when the taxman is currently taking an extra £300 a month until April as DH earned too much last year and we have to pay back child benefit.) Angry

WheresMyChocolate · 08/02/2020 13:18

Approximately £700 on a new cooker. That was my entire savings on a tool to enslave me. The old one died and kept blowing the fuse box.

DimplesToadfoot · 08/02/2020 13:20

£220ish vet fees every 7 weeks, I adopted a "healthy" rabbit from a well known charity, I took her to my vet straight away for its vaccs and microchip where my vet picked up this rabbit had bad teeth, I hadn't been had her long enough to sort out insurance. She has an op to sort her teeth £180ish, 6 weeks after she goes back for a check up £29. the following week is back in for her teeth grinding again and the cycle continues. I didn't sign up for this, if I had known I wouldn't have adopted her and the fees are killing me. I'm robbing Peter to pay Paul, and to think I've potentially got another 10 years of it ... shoot me now :-(

mytypeonpaper · 08/02/2020 13:21

£22 a month on open study that I'm never gunna use- only 2 more payments out of a 2 year payment plan left 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️
