YANBU If it's when he is Dr Who, but you ABU if he is playing anyone else LOL.

Elasticwoman · 02/09/2007 21:53

Yes YABU because my 12 yo dd feels the same.
Or is she just v v advanced????

Did you like David Tennant when he played Barty Crouch's son in one of the Harry Potter films?

mummydoit · 02/09/2007 21:55

I have also just re-watched a Dr Who DVD and gone all trembly too! Though I am embarrassed to admit that I watched the Harry Potter film and didn't realise it was David Tennant playing Barty Crouch's son!

Elasticwoman · 02/09/2007 22:00

Do not be embarrassed. My dc pointed it out to me.

DaisyMOO · 02/09/2007 22:03

It's entirely possible that I'm just extremely immature. The dcs like it that I've been practising Dr Who impressions though

I haven't seen the Harry Potter film yet

Not unreasonable at all. lurve lurve lurve him. I had a v saucy dream about him as Barty Crouch Jr!!! (Obviously I saved him from himself and he turned out to be quite sane and lovely!!)

Elasticwoman · 02/09/2007 22:09

Did you see him on Who Do You Think You Are?
That Scots accent doesn't suit him at all, imo. No wonder he became an actor.

Don't fancy him myself, as he's far too young.

GooseyLoosey · 02/09/2007 22:15

Well it depends on your house. In my house your tongue would get rather dusty and possibly have to plough through whatever ds or dd have recently wiped on it. I'm not sure even David T is worth a furry tongue. However, if your standards are better than mine, then not being unreasonable at all.

almostmidnight · 02/09/2007 22:17

Oooooh no the Scottish accent is fab but then I did marry a scotsman and live up there. Like a man in a kilt too. Wouldn't mind seeing David Tennant in one with a tilted sporon

almost midnight - tilted sporran tell me more

Elasticwoman · 02/09/2007 22:22

Don't get me wrong - I don't object to Scots accents in general - just not on DT.

ScottishMummy · 02/09/2007 22:25

DT is scottish does his celtic lilt not do it for you

Elasticwoman · 02/09/2007 22:28

Oh yes I know he is, but a Scots accent wants to come from some one more rugged eg Billy Connolly

DaisyMOO · 02/09/2007 22:29

My housework standards are not particularly high but I did happen to clean the TV screen the other day (not because of slobber marks I hasten to add)

Misty, can I borrow your dream?

I liked it better in the 60s when Dr Who was asexual and all the sexual tension was in the assistants.

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 02/09/2007 22:40

YANBU

I go all funny when I think of his sonic screwdriver...

ScottishMummy · 02/09/2007 22:40

Billy connolloy - like his accent, however imo it has softened eg not as glaswegian as once was
