I regularly see repetition in Number at times of great change in my life. Those wishes that I privately have will often come true even if those wishes seem batshit and those wishes change my life irrevocably ?
It's like I imagine my future and would wish for change and then it comes along after months of great stress but I'd always as I imagined it would be and would be for the best
Does that sound nuts to you?

Being charitable, I suspect that this is a case of confirmation bias - where something good/something you’ve wished for happens, and you look back and see the significant numbers in the run-up. But when nothing you’ve wished for happens, you don’t look back and see if the same pattern of numbers was there.

Have you heard of serendipity? You've experienced good luck and coincidence, don't depend on it or when it doesn't work it will be upsetting.

Believe what you want to believe, what makes sense to you. The world can appear to be random, we all need something external to us to provide some element of meaning, if yours is number patterns who is anyone to say you’re wrong?

I remember seeing lots of number coincidences and thinking that something major was going to happen that would be positive in the long run . It did .

Yeah, it's utter nonsense, I'm afraid. What you're saying is that you have a power that makes you able to wish for something and then it comes true - and to let you know that it's on its way, the universe arranges for you to see a special magic number around the place first?

Do you think that's true for everyone, or just you? If just you, then boy, aren't you special? And if it's for everyone, then how do you explain really awful things happening to people, like AIDS orphans and people being trafficked into slavery - are they just not wishing hard enough, like you, or maybe they don't notice the special magic numbers?

If you really do have this power to make your wishes manifest, then why don't you wish for an end to climate change, or halt the spread of diseases, or save animals from extinction? Or - let me guess - does it only work for small, amibiguous things that might have been going to happen anyway?

I know people think that this kind of belief is "harmless" but it isn't.

I really don't think I'm special or magic . I found it coincidental that my wishes came true around the time that I kept seeing 11 11 and 17 17. That's all . I didn't think any deeper about it .

Yep, you're right - it's a coincidence.

Op, I’ve had numerology done and it’s not really about seeing numbers and patterns like that, it’s more to do with the numbers associated with your name and date of birth. I found it pretty powerful because it was with a practitioner I’ve seen for various other treatments over the years and I have lots of faith in her based on experience. I think when things like this come up, many people will say it’s batshit so authoritatively, and in such sneering fashion, but ultimately that’s just their belief, and you are entitled to yours. If seeing a pattern in this way has brought you comfort then I don’t see why you should dismiss it. I’m glad that you escaped whatever misery it was.

But the way we label the dates is arbitrary! There are loads of calendars (Gregorian, Julian, Chinese, not sure the name of the Islamic calendar) - they count the months as starting on different dates, the months have different names, and there aren't universally twelve of them! So numerology probably has to go in the category of bullshit. Which is sad coz maths is beautiful!
