AIBU or is this extremely unfair on the staff, to be moved to hotels. I lived in Hospital accommodation when I was newly qualified, and it was definitely my home. Surely they'd have been better to requisition a hotel for the quarantined people.

Oh, I agree @T0tallyFuckedUpFamily. The lying doesn't bother me so much as the potential danger.

Very true. There’s enough panic in the shops when there’s a drop of snow, can you imagine the public reaction if the government was always upfront about their concerns. makes note to top up brexshit store 😁

You’ll not see the proper masks, because they, apparently, have sold out online. Hand gel doesn’t stop all viruses.

handmedownqueen · 01/02/2020 14:17

Apparently they have been moved to Thornton Hough Hotel where Boris and Leo V met so are quite happy!

Regarding healthcare workers wearing hazmat suits - do they were them also when treating patients with flu in hospital?

It looks so sinister and I do wonder if the death rate is much higher than Chinese officials claim?

We wore suits & masks during swine flu outbreak in 2009

If you're nursing a ventilated patient in ITU with flu normally they're on a closed ventilated circuit and if you need to change anything you wear a mask, visor, gloves & gown

MozzchopsThirty · 01/02/2020 15:12

I noticed whilst out shopping in two separate stores all the 'specials' and end of aisle offers included disinfectant, wipes, bottled water 🤔🤔 hmm

Lemonrasberrycake · 01/02/2020 15:14

@MozzchopsThirty Thanks

MozzchopsThirty · 01/02/2020 15:16

FWIW I don't think we're being told the full story
I've never seen anything like this

Notthebloodygym · 01/02/2020 15:51

I can't see why there is an issue about tracing people who were in contact with the two people with the virus "for 15 minutes or more", yet in the same BBC article it says viruses live on surfaces for 24 hours. Surely the tracing should therefore be wider.

handmedownqueen · 01/02/2020 17:17

I was thinking of going for an MOT at the walk in centre now it’s so quiet !

I've stopped there. It's a nice hotel.
