Disneyland Paris accommodation!

TheFuckingDogs · 31/01/2020 08:18

Planning a trip to Disneyland Paris for myself DH and DS (6)
Any hotel recommendations would be great, we’re doing 2 nights in a hotel in/close to Disney and then thinking a night in Paris proper. Happy to pay a bit but always better when you get a bargain for something nice!!

We always stay at the Sequoia Lodge - short walk into the village and parks and has a lovely pool etc

purpleboy · 31/01/2020 08:46

Yes we do sequoia lodge too, loads of benefits to staying on site and often doesn't work out more expensive. If you can afford a suite room you get unlimited fast pass included. I cannot tell you how valuable that is!

grumpymummy72 · 31/01/2020 08:55

We stayed at the Hotel Cheyenne when we went with DS. He loved it and even got a pony ride.

Jupiters · 31/01/2020 08:57

It's not a Disney hotel, but we've stayed at the Hi Park several times and never had any issues.

puds11 · 31/01/2020 09:01

Stayed at Sequoia lodge. You get early entrance to the park if you stay on site which is definitely worth doing and you can walk to the park which is nice. We got the packed breakfast option and ate it on the walk to the park.

Hotel is very dated and basic and our room smelt of fags.

TweetUsOnFacebook · 31/01/2020 09:05

If you're taking your car Davy Crockett is good and significantly cheaper than the other hotels. 10 mins drive to parks and has a great pool. We like it because its calm and quiet and we get our own space as the lodges have 2 beds, 2 baths.

Gobbychops · 31/01/2020 09:39

We also stayed at Davy Crockett which was good, you can get a train direct from Disneyland to Paris for the day. Beware though we found that having the car with us showed that we were obviously British tourists and we were robbed twice, once from the car and once from the cabin, the cabin one there was no break in so someone must have used a room key!

sweetkitty · 31/01/2020 09:41

We stayed in the Santa Fe and got a meal plan which was great for us with 4DC. Went to Paris for a whole day too. Loved the extra hour and the free transport to and from the parks.

FizzyIce · 31/01/2020 10:13

We’ve stayed at Newport bay the last few times , it’s a lovely hotel with a great buffet restaurant.
Do hear good things about Sequoia lodge though .
Next time i’d like to try the Marvel one

LGY1 · 31/01/2020 10:17

We are annual pass holders and always stay in HiPark Serris. It’s walking distance to the parks (about the same as Newport Bay) and they are apartments.
Means that you have a little kitchen so not paying silly prices for food in Disney

Titective · 31/01/2020 10:42

Newport is awful. Avoid. New York hotel was lovely for my friend

LutherRalph1 · 31/01/2020 10:43

Newport was lovely when we went before Christmas, lovely staff but chaos on checking in and out and only one lift down towards park, which is silly

I8toys · 31/01/2020 10:44

We've stayed at Davy Crockett, Newport Hotel and the Centreparcs nearby. My preference was Newport as we stayed on the clubroom floor and had breakfast separately from everyone and use of the clubroom with free drinks and food.

KiraMira · 31/01/2020 10:46

We stayed at Sequoia Lodge and upgraded to a Golden Forest room which came with some great perks! We got priority check in which was amazing! The check in queue is out the door for the normal rooms. We had a private check in room and the kids got goodie bags and chocolates. The upgrade also gave us fast passes for certain big rides, free unlimited drinks (including cans) between 12pm and 10pm and cakes and pastries from 4-6pm in the VIP lounge. Hot breakfast was also served in the VIP lounge so there were no queues. Definitely worth upgrading.

puds11 · 31/01/2020 11:08

We arrived late at night 10.30 ish and there was no queue for check in.

Emmelina · 31/01/2020 16:12

We did Cheyenne. Got a good deal with a meal plan etc., and you can get in the parks before the general day visitors when there aren’t nearly as many queues! Easy train into Paris, there’s a station right at the entrance to the parks.

Apirateslifeforme · 31/01/2020 16:21

We really enjoyed Chayenne, love Davey Crockett but it means taking a car.

If not staying onsite the explorers hotel is amazing,
Ultimately, if you can afford it, Disneyland hotel.

Hope you have a great time, were AP holders and dont tend to stay onsite as we find such good prices elsewhere.

Mummyscrewedup · 31/01/2020 16:39

We stay at sequoia. Love it

AlwaysCheddar · 31/01/2020 16:47

My preference:
Disney hotel - closest
New York - next closest
Newport or sequoia.
All easily walkable.

2beautifulbabs · 31/01/2020 16:53

We are going to Disneyland Paris this year and have booked with les nature villages it's about 20mins from the parks but it has its own entertainment to keep children and adults happy for when your not in the parks

DirtyDeeds · 31/01/2020 16:56

Cheyenne is fab

TantricTwist · 31/01/2020 17:03

We've stayed in Cheyenne, it's recently been done up and suited us. Much more convenient staying in a Disney Hotel.

Great if you're an early riser as you get the whole park to yourself before other visitors and the Fast pass is great.
We are late risers so had the whole park to ourselves in the late evening, we went in August last year for 4 nights.
I'll probably try Sequoia next if we go again. The only reason we didn't stay last year is because the pool was closed for renovation.

Chasingdandelions · 01/02/2020 09:36

Hotel Cheyenne, the food is the best there and the kids get pony rides etc. Santa fe is similar but apparently has no air con so something to think about if you're going in the summer. Definitely recommend staying at a Disney hotel though as they have shuttle buses every 10mins and magic hours which are great as the lines can get to 2 hours for the most popular rides in peak hours.

WeSavedSallySally · 01/02/2020 09:41

Hotel eylesse.

Read the reviews. Shuttle right opp door to park. First hotel so its never crowded and it shares with hi Park series and one other.

Ie not the manically crowded explorers and Vienna dream on other side.

Fast check in, lovely staff, recently renovated. Good fridge in room, kettle etc. Right next to a bakery, and huge auchen supermarket.
It's also opposite the train station so you have that option for park or paris.

Very good price booked early.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 01/02/2020 09:43

We stayed at Cheyenne. We were very happy... Clean, comfortable, easy access to park, magic hour, reasonable food.
