Disneyland Paris accommodation!

Planning a trip to Disneyland Paris for myself DH and DS (6)
Any hotel recommendations would be great, we’re doing 2 nights in a hotel in/close to Disney and then thinking a night in Paris proper. Happy to pay a bit but always better when you get a bargain for something nice!!

Combine with annual pass and you not only get magic hours you get your own special entrance. So you can sail past the hotel guests queuing.... Money off merch, food and pushchairs.

New York is currently closed for renovation to Marvel Hotel but due to open up in summer I think depending on your dates. Stayed in a few onsite hotels but now tend to go for the cheapest option for our dates as we really only sleep there. Always found them to be all equally clean. Stayed at Hipark for one night and the room was really grubby and could not have stayed longer due to that. However I know others have not had same experience. Hotel l’Elysee is nice in Val d’Europe. Shuttle to parks, across the road from shopping centre and couple of mins walk from train station.

The Disney Hotels are in order of price:

Hotel Disney (most expensive)
Newport Bay
New York
Sequoia Lodge
Cheyenne
Santa Fe (cheapest)

Cheyenne and Santa Fe have no pool and no aircon, but food and room size are all about the same. Cheyenne alone has bunk beds. All served by free bus to park.

Last time I went I stayed in a hotel at Bussey St Georges area for a fraction of the cost of disney, it's worth looking outside the Disney hotels for sure

Hi OP, we have been twice with DC. First time stayed in Sequoia Lodge - not great. Second time in New York - lovely.

It really is worth staying in a hotel on site - you get to go into the park 2 hours before everyone else. And you can walk to the parks.

I really would not try to add an additional day in Paris - it is a long trek and a 6 year old would prefer an extra day on site. I planned one but in the end we stayed in the park instead - Paris is really a city for older DC so I think do this trip as Disney and go to Paris proper when he is 12+ (just my opinion but I lived in Paris for a while).

We’ve stayed at the following:

Newport Bay - probably my favourite, nice walk around the lake to the parks, lovely themed hotel but the kids prefer others because the hotel is massive and the walk to your room can be long plus the food is more seafood themed which they don’t like.
Hotel New York - didn’t particularly like this one, I felt it was a bit more corporate than a Disney hotel but it’s being done up to become a marvel hotel.
Sequoia Lodge - my daughters favourite, lovely and cosy in the winter, not too far to walk and has a nice swimming pool. Many rooms are in separate lodges so not much of a walk once back in the hotel. Mid range price wise too.
Cheyenne - hands down my sons favourite, he calls it cowboy town. The walk isn’t too bad, it’s cheaper than the others above. Food is good, again rooms are in lodges rather than all corridors in a massive hotel.

We mostly use Cheyenne now, the price difference in the others just doesn’t really seem worth it compared to here, especially in the summer when you don’t mind the slightly longer walk.

Hotel Cheyenne no longer has bunk beds since the renovation.

We're going next month, driving and staying at Davy Crocket. I appreciate that doesn't help at all Grin

Robstersgirl · 01/02/2020 10:49

My favourites are off site. We particularly liked Vienna dream castle. I find the Disney hotels dated.

BadgerBadgerMushroom · 01/02/2020 10:51

We stayed in Cheyenne last summer and the rooms were amazing. They've redone them as a Toy Story theme. Shuttle bus every 10 mins but easily walkable. The Disney hours are worth it you can plan ahead to beat the queues although not all the rides are open. I'd recommend the restaurants at Cheyenne too. We tried a few in the park but it was our favourite overall. Food is cheaper in the studio lot park...not cheap just cheaper 😂🙈
