Started a new thread on the off chance () that something funny might happen in my street later. Maybe around 10pm...

Diagram below for the handful of people in the country that haven't printed it off yet...

@OlaEliza I can't remember how many reshuffles there were now, but at bedtime, B was in 1/2 and C and D were either side...

Close but not touching!

I have a friend who is in the car trade. He is happy to lend 5 or 6 cars to fill the street for a few months. All taxed and insured, so all legal.

Doublethesarcasm · 05/02/2020 08:23

Has B attempted to leave for work? Far too invested in this car shuffling malarkey.

BigFatLiar · 05/02/2020 08:44

Taxi for B again?

originalcatlady · 05/02/2020 08:47

B went to work (I heard 😡). Everyone's gone to work. Just F in her spot.

I wonder if you could report B to the council for noise disturbance? Imagine if she got told to drive more quietly!

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/02/2020 11:07

originalcatlady has to be a shoe-in now for the next I'm A Celebrity. I can just imagine the first show.

"Our first contestant this year is Carly - she once dated the cousin of Simon Cowell's hairdresser's locum vet!"

"Next we have Kevin - he's a plumber who once attended an emergency call-out when the aunt of the man who invented the G-tech vacuum cleaner's second favourite florist had a late-night boiler breakdown!"

"Our third celebrity is Howard - his dry-cleaner was once married to the woman who founded the company that sold the gold paint to the contractor from the Royal Mail who painted the post box in honour of Jessica Ennis in 2012!"

"And finally, our big star of the show. For a change, she needs no introduction or explanation of her celeb status as we all know her very well - it's originalcatlady!"

The only problem is that B would browbeat all of her acquaintances to put OCL's number on speed-dial to constantly vote for her to eat the wombats' bumholes Grin

And the fashion police, while you're at it, for wearing her pink dressing gown outside in the street. Make sure you get good clear footage for us all of when she hears her doorbell ring and opens it to Gok, standing there wagging his finger angrily and shouting "NO, NO, NO!!!!!"

GiveHerHellFromUs · 05/02/2020 11:13

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll I was hoping more that we could have a David Attenborough type show.
OP could show him all the best spots to watch the street from and he could narrate the comings and goings of Alphabet Street.

I like it, GiveHerHellFromUs !

TiggerOfThigh · 05/02/2020 11:24

Not the point, but please put your phone on charge 🤦‍♀️ It makes me itch

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/02/2020 11:25

Is that THE identical dresssing gown to Exhibit-D at the crime scene?

I presume that Terry Fuschia is the name of the lady who's modelling it there. That's an extraordinary co-incidence that her very uncommon surname happens to be an anagram of 'fuchsia', which could, incredibly, also be an accurate description of the colour of the wares that she's peddling showcasing Grin

originalcatlady · 05/02/2020 11:42

@TiggerOfThigh oh gosh, I'm often on 1%, had I better not screenshot at that point?

OP posts:
Fink · 05/02/2020 11:50

At least you're at home. I sometimes let my phone run down when I'm near a charger and have the security of being able to plug it in whenever I want. I wouldn't leave the house on less than 97%, ideally 100%.

ODFOx · 05/02/2020 11:51

Is it wrong that I've tracked down some yellow temporary line paint on Amazon and I want you to double line 1 and 2 just so we can vicariously enjoy the rage?

GabsAlot · 05/02/2020 11:53

What i want to iknow is how can she not get out when a is free?

originalcatlady · 05/02/2020 11:57

@ODFOx that's amazing! Can you even imagine?!

@GabsAlot 1 wasn't free this morning. Also, it must be the slight natural incline of the road that means she needs to rev so much 🤷‍♀️

OP posts:
GabsAlot · 05/02/2020 11:59

ah sorry i misread thought she was in 1-as you were....

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 05/02/2020 12:27

I saw a woman today in a pink dressing gown having a word with some builders. It's definitely not alphabet street but I nearly shouted B!!! At her

originalcatlady · 05/02/2020 12:59

I was talking to a friend who knows their names and I called them B and C.

OP posts:
Tandia · 05/02/2020 13:44

😂😂 If she didn't react I assume she's not a mumsnetter!!

originalcatlady · 05/02/2020 14:55

C had been in 2 all day, so B was relegated to 1. She's just moved forward to her spot when C went out.

OP posts:
Lweji · 05/02/2020 15:00

Is 3 free? Or will C reclaim the X-1 spot yet again?

It's like musical chairs, where the contenders sit on the sides of the chairs.

AcrossthePond55 · 05/02/2020 15:21

This is AMAZING!

I was raised in the US suburbs where everyone had a big driveway and a 2 car garage. The only parking debacle was students parking all down the end of the street nearest the gate. The city council acted swiftly and now you have to have a resident's permit to park on the street during school hours. You also are not allowed to park overnight on ANY city street, resident or no. But you can go to the Police Station and get an 'overnight permit' if you have company or 'too many' cars to put them all on the drive & garage (which would hold at least 3 normal sized cars + 2 cars in the garage) . Why do they have to be so reasonable and efficient and deprive us of Parking Thread Drama!!!

When I think of what I missed growing up, I could just cry.
