Getting a David Tennant

DonJonnellO · 30/01/2020 12:19

A co-worker of mine is a really big fan of David Tennant so for her birthday i bought her a 6ft cutout of David Tennant and gave it to her at work. Others have been saying its inappropriate or just weird.

Am i being unreasonable?

It isn't inappropriate.
I have one of the chap from outlander that I use at school sometimes.
I once left him standing in the bedroom and DH came home and nearly jumped out of his skin ( he wasn't aware he existed)

Fantastic gift! And it can be positioned around the house randomly to give people a fright!

Perfect gift.

When I worked in a video shop (when they still existed!), people were always asking for our advertising materials when we were finished with them. Mostly it was posters but the instore stands were much sought after. I remember the Hagrid one being huge and taking two people to carry it down the road!

I think it is a great gift, very thoughtful.Fair play!!

I love this as an idea. I mean I would far prefer something funny to the usual alcohol/chocs that colleagues usually buy.
Op can I please befriend you and request a life size Adam Driver as Kylo Ren without the mask pretty please Grin

MinkowskisButterfly · 30/01/2020 17:48

That's a fab present! Your colleagues are the weird ones!

PorpentinaScamander · 30/01/2020 17:52

Can I be your friend? I would love this! I'd equally love one of Eddie Redmayne.

My friend has a life size cardboard cut out of himself Grin

I read about someone who had a Mr Bean cutout who got left around the office in different rooms terrifying people. If I ever have the spare cash......

FenellaVelour · 30/01/2020 18:46

My old colleagues got me a framed photo of Cillian Murphy. I would have loved a cutout of him, haha, though it probably wouldn’t be 6ft as he’s only wee.

I think it’s funny, but then I am a bit weird myself so.

Pikachusmum · 30/01/2020 18:55

Can u be my friend.

JassyRadlett · 30/01/2020 19:01

I would love this! As him as the Doctor of course

Or maybe Hamlet.

A Broadchurch Tennant would be a bit threatening.
