That they shouldn't edit our posts if they are going to post them on Facebook and they shouldn't post them on FB without an automated message to let us know that they have?

MNHQ have posted on the original thread to explain what happened. It's ... not going very well.

The post was modified on FB to get extra traffic directed at the website and social media. That's why lots of goady threads are allowed to stand on AIBU.

OK, I know I've already commented saying that YABU, MN can post threads where they like and it's not private on here etc, but just caught up with what they actually edited.
Yeah, that is pretty crappy, seeing as what they chopped out basically changed the whole meaning of your thread and made it seem as if your child was still at school and you'd refused to pick them up which wasn't the case!
I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and hope it was a genuine mistake and not deliberately chopped to generate click bait/ more comments/engagement (forever the optimist lol)
