Who wants a whole street parking thread? Bring popcorn, it's a long one!

See diagram below. I WFH and have no life but I'm pretty sure this will be entertaining to the Mumsnet parking thread folk!

House A, no car but X denotes the allocated disabled spot so he can be collected via a side entrance from his house.
House B, one car, has to park with car door level with front door, meaning she always uses space 1&2. Most people are afraid to park here. If someone does, she parks touching their bumper, in some kind of laying down the law attempt and stands there shouting "who's is this?" and similar nonsense.
House C, one car but not usually home, so is either forced to park in space X or further along from X, where there are two spaces in front of a garage.
House D, one car. Usually gets home first so gets space 3.
House E, house with drive.
House F, car but no drive. Usually parks in space 4.
House G, H, I, J have drives.
House K have two cars and no drive. They have been frequently told they are taking over the street and are not allowed to park in space 5, as it blocks house Gs drive and does not allow House F to park in space 4. I do point out that this has the same impact as house F parking in space 4 on me, but apparently not.
House L, house with drive (me).
House M, drive but no car.
House N, house with drive.

Houses B, F, G and M frequently have street gossips/meetings/bitching sessions declaring that people who haven't lived here for a billion years like them, are taking over, who do they think they are, they can't just park where they like etc etc.

So, if you're still with me, this brings me to today. In a spectacular turn of events, house K, who give no shits about fake parking laws, have parked in space 4. Their other car is further along in front of garage, as well as an unknown car.

House F have now come home parked kind of across both X and space 1 (basically leaving house Bs usual space for them). They are watching non stop to ensure they get their space back.

Very unusually, house C is home and has parked in space 2.

So. There is no space left in the street and house B, the most precious and hysterical have nowhere to park. They will return at 10pm.

This actually keeps me entertained daily. Sad I know.

I've invested a significant amount of brain power that I can ill afford, working all this out. Happy sigh for updates...

LittleDragonGirl · 28/01/2020 21:57

It's almost time

2020newme · 28/01/2020 21:57

If B and F are mates, I wonder if F has texted them to tell them the horror that awaits them?

LittleDragonGirl · 28/01/2020 21:58

Damn.. would F have the guts to tell B?

GabriellaMontez · 28/01/2020 21:58

Will B be on time?

Owlypants · 28/01/2020 21:59

I'm just here for the drama 🍿Gin

LittleDragonGirl · 28/01/2020 21:59

I need to be asleep but I'm much too invested Grin

Whynosnowyet · 28/01/2020 21:59

Sadly when me and ds took turns parking there we had tyres let down and cars keyed.
Only one house past her into a corner. Nobody would need to be at that point in the St so assume it was her.
She also took pics of my dc and crawled on her knees and hid under a table to hide!! She is in her 70's!
I stood and shouted at her - crouched under a table - that I would report her if I saw her taking pics of my dc again.

GenderfreeJoe · 28/01/2020 22:00

Oooh, I've arrived just in time. (Sits down, opens popcorn)

LittleDragonGirl · 28/01/2020 22:01

its time

@Whynosnowyet that's completely insane. Shock

2020newme · 28/01/2020 22:01

Whynosnowyet

Never mind, when you win the lottery you can buy a huge disgusting van with a hideous logo/picture on it and just fucking leave it outside her house for a year Grin

AlaskaSometimes · 28/01/2020 22:01

Why is this so entrancing?

LittleDragonGirl · 28/01/2020 22:02

@2020newme LOVE IT!

ClientQueen · 28/01/2020 22:02

I am the cause of all parking mayhem in my road Grin
My parking space stupidly isn't outside my address, it's outside another house. But it's mine, I own it, it's in the deeds. The house it is outside seem to think it's a visitor space, despite there being free on road ample parking approx 20m away
So I do a lot of blocking people in, shouting and demanding - in my defence, it's been TWELVE years and they're well aware it isn't their bloody space. I may have blocked someone in previously, taken the doorbell off and gone for a bath Wink
I had great fun with some red tarmac paint to make a point given my house number is already there

Parking myself here.

Heckythump1 · 28/01/2020 22:03

Poor DH has had to go and make his own packed lunch for work, because I'm too busy waiting for B to come home 😛

originalcatlady · 28/01/2020 22:03

B must be approaching as husband is on doorstep.

OP posts:
DesLynamsMoustache · 28/01/2020 22:04

Will husband have prewarned her? Is husband as batshit as her? Is he secretly looking forward to the fireworks?

2020newme · 28/01/2020 22:04

Palpitations

TopOftheNaughtyList · 28/01/2020 22:05

Secretly envious of OP having a ringside seat for this
