To ask if anyone with a B tummy managed to get rid of it?

After 3 kids, I have a saggy B tummy. I’m about 6-7 kg over weight and a lot of that is my tummy. I don’t exercise much, apart from walking to work 3 times a week (that’s 2.5 miles a day). If I join a gym and start exercising, or get a personal trainer, is it realistically possible to get a flat tummy?
Has anyone lost their B tummy ?

I have a saggy tummy after losing 100 lbs. For 8 years I've done yoga, running, HIIT, gym, weights, and...it's a bit better...but I still have a saggy tum!

It's not noticable at all in clothes (thank you, high waisted jeans) and I've learned to love my little pouch. It's proof of what I've been through - I know self acceptance isn't easy but liking yourself as you are is so important.

Get healthy, sure, but don't get too wrapped up in the idea of what you 'should' look like. We're all perfectly imperfect. :)

I think it depends how much your skin has been stretched.

Ohyesiam · 26/01/2020 19:44

I found that exercise classes that emphasise the course have really helped, especially TRX . My belly is still there, but it’s a lot better.

Ohyesiam · 26/01/2020 19:44

Core! Not bloody course

IHaveBrilloHair · 26/01/2020 19:45

What is a B tummy?

Skyejuly · 26/01/2020 19:47

Mines a B and I wear a 12 now but it just stays like a B...less prominent than it was but high waist jeans and suck in pants work wonders

bridgetreilly · 26/01/2020 19:53

@IHaveBrilloHair Tummy with side on profile that looks like a B. Two bumps.

FredaFox · 26/01/2020 19:53

What’s a B tummy?!

IHaveBrilloHair · 26/01/2020 20:07

I still have no idea what you meanConfused
I'm not being weird, honest, I just have never heard of it.

bridgetreilly · 26/01/2020 21:15

The straight bit of the B is your back. On the front, instead of having one bulge, you have two, one above and one below the waist.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/01/2020 21:27

I think I need a picture to understand this one!

xmaself24 · 26/01/2020 21:29

I don't understand either. How can you have two tummys?

kingkuta · 26/01/2020 21:38

I've just googled and seen a picture. Honestly have never heard of this before. I'm guessing it's a genetic thing and would just be less noticeable the more weight you lost?

StealthPolarBear · 26/01/2020 21:40

Yep I have one.

Janice88 · 26/01/2020 21:50

To all those that never heard of B tummy. I’m super jealous of you

OP posts:
Boshmama · 26/01/2020 21:53

I've always had one! Even when I was a lot slimmer - the slimmer I am the less noticeable, but it's still always there. It was even bloody there when I was pregnant 🙈

I'm learning to try and accept it...

IHaveBrilloHair · 26/01/2020 21:55

Oh right, just googled, I've never heard the term before.

TheFastandTheCurious · 26/01/2020 21:56

So you mean a bit of a fat tummy? Never heard of a b tummy before either

Sparkle567 · 26/01/2020 22:01

I just had to google it. Never heard of it before.

I thought b stood for baby tummy.

I don’t have b tummy but I do have hip dipEnvy which I hate.

I’m just trying to lose weight to help

Supertrooper98 · 26/01/2020 22:05

I thought it was B for big

heartonastring · 26/01/2020 22:10

Is a B tummy like a muffin top?

I've never heard of a B tummy but I have one!

I always assumed the B shape was due to two factors, top bump due to diastasis recti which I still have a bit, bottom bump due to c section pooch.

The diastasis bump you an work on but have to be very careful the types of exercises you use..... Google it as certain thiggs, like a plank, makes it all worse.

Bottom bump just have to live with!

44PumpLane · 26/01/2020 22:18

Cryingoverspilttea incredibly helpful and insightful post there..... Let's all just flip a switch and stop giving any fuxks about our looks and decide we are all queens, because it's clearly that easy.

Arsehole!!

GetOffTheTableMabel · 26/01/2020 22:20

Cryingoverspilttea Blimey, are you always so bad-tempered and judgmental? Nowhere did the OP say she felt defined by her appearance
She didn’t say it affected her mood or her view of herself at all. She made a simple enquiry about exercise.
Wind your neck in.
