Is this ok?
He's a friend too and I thought nothing of it. Now worried she thinks I was flirting.
It was about the suit honest!

I would guess to symbolise that they were on fire/performing well Ginger as against smoking hot, which is I assume how the OP meant it.

Tealnotbluemum · 24/01/2020 18:16

I just put it under my friends photos if they've obviously made a bit of an effort and he's in that camp to me. There was nothing more meant by it!

Close girlfriends or my DH I would. Just me though everyone has their cut off points.

Thehop · 24/01/2020 18:17

Erm. No!!!!!! Never

HighlyUnlikely · 24/01/2020 18:17

@gingerchaos I think it means they played/performed well - like “they were on fire in that race/game”

Tombliwho · 24/01/2020 18:17

But you obviously think it was a bit off or you wouldn't question it?

Brazi103 · 24/01/2020 18:19

I would delete it. Not appropriate at all.

CountFosco · 24/01/2020 18:19

Only if it was a photo of him walking over hot coals.

bushhbb · 24/01/2020 18:19

Can i just add for everyone (literally everyone on the thread lol) who said they wouldn't...

Fire emoji doesn't necessarily mean hot, it just means you like something. Like saying "your suit looks fire". Not flirty at all

Tealnotbluemum · 24/01/2020 18:20

@bushhbb thank you! That was how I thought of it.

IDontDrinkTea · 24/01/2020 18:20

The flame emoji means you think they’re smoking hot... So no, I wouldn’t ever do that to a friends partner?

Sexnotgender · 24/01/2020 18:20

In your opinion bushhbb

Thetellyisjelly · 24/01/2020 18:21

Yes exactly
You know it was wrong. This is a tactic women always use when they’re flirtatious with other people’s husbands
“😱😱 omg I was just being kind”
No you weren’t love, you were testing the water.
And now you’re obsessing about it.
Get a life and stay away from other people’s partners.

bushhbb · 24/01/2020 18:22

No, @Sexnotgender

It's the opinion of anyone under 35, I promise. Nobody ever uses fire to mean hot.

KatyCarrCan · 24/01/2020 18:23

Why wouldn't you delete it rather than come on MN to try to justify it? fwiw no I wouldn't put that a friend's husband's photo.

Tealnotbluemum · 24/01/2020 18:23

@Thetellyisjelly you know nothing about me.

OP posts:
Sexnotgender · 24/01/2020 18:23

Lol

poseysbobblehat · 24/01/2020 18:24

Delete it

formerbabe · 24/01/2020 18:24

If you delete it you'll look even more guilty.

What I suggest is you now comment with a fire emoji on every single persons photos you can see!

SueEllenMishke · 24/01/2020 18:25

I am so chilled and relaxed but that is weird and definitely comes across as flirtatious

mumtumdocare · 24/01/2020 18:27

Not cool. At all.

TitianaTitsling · 24/01/2020 18:27

What on earth does it mean? I see it on the 'youngters' at work comments... 'Omg ur sooo hawt babes 🔥🔥'. Or is it a pisstaking 'burnnn 🔥 you made an arse of it'??

gingerchaos · 24/01/2020 18:28

Thanks for the explanations.

mumtumdocare · 24/01/2020 18:29

@CountFosco 😂😂🔥🚒🧯

WestCovina · 24/01/2020 18:29

If I knew both of the couple well, this wouldn’t bother me. If someone commented a fire on my husband that I didn’t know, I’d be a bit Hmm but i agree with @bushhbb it’s not really sinister
