Floods??

www.getthedata.com/flood-map/eardisland

Oh no! - I think here is a bright red dot right on top of this house - flood risk high. Plus there looks like a floodboard at the bottom of the front door and the downstairs heaters look freestanding (ie can be lifted upstairs).

Maybe that gorgeous kitchen floor is stone for another reason?

Beautiful house though - maybe have a hunt for photos of the village when flooded - is it sandbags against the door or 3 feet deep?

FeltCarrot · 20/01/2020 06:34

Eardisland is beautiful, there is a 17th century Manor House that I have stayed in a few time.

mintyneb · 20/01/2020 06:37

Think of the spiders! And I hope they take those rocking chairs with them......

But it is a beautiful house

hen10 · 20/01/2020 06:54

mintyneb My first thought exactly.
Beams = whole new level of spiders.

covetingthepreciousthings · 20/01/2020 07:09

On the original house, I think the EA should have taken out pictures 6, 11 and 12, I don't think they add to the property, and 6 is a bit Confused

Runnerduck34 · 20/01/2020 07:23

Definitely not unreasonable! Lovely house , unfortunately unless you can afford to buy without selling timing is everything

labazsisgoingmad · 20/01/2020 09:36

Eardisland near us lovely place id go for it you can always purchase land to put the ponies on

Herts6789 · 20/01/2020 16:59

Beautiful but i think i would be a bit spooked if home alone!

Chintzflowers · 20/01/2020 17:03

On a similar vein, I have a friend who tells me she’s going to inherit a relatives million pound farm house soon.....yawn

mrshoho · 20/01/2020 17:03

property porn is my guilty pleasure. I could spend hours on rightmove Blush

Agree about pic 6 on the first house. It just says woodworm/Wood rot and there's a lot of wood in that house (but I'd still buy it if I could)

behindlocknumbernine · 20/01/2020 17:33

OP, I love this!

My dh and I have the same dream. As soon as the dc have flown the nest and we can semi retire, we are going Herefordshire way. Our dream is an older property with BnB potential and land for dd’s (by then retired too) pony and his shetty companion.
I recognise two of the linked to properties from my own forays on to Rightmove 🙂

ioioitsoff · 20/01/2020 17:42

Birdie friend ??

WaxOnFeckOff · 20/01/2020 18:47

Creepy as fuck, i'm another one that couldn't live with waking up and seeing something rocking away in one of those chairs....

I do understand that they wouldn't be leaving the furniture but i'm sure it would re-appear of it's own accord.

DollyDoneMore · 20/01/2020 22:38

Looks a bit spidery.

HeronLanyon · 20/01/2020 22:51

Birdie friend was on another thread about young boy who had frankly terrifying badge with birdie on who kept ‘saying’ things.

ioioitsoff · 20/01/2020 22:59

Oh, the one who could see ghosts or something ? I saw the thread but didn't open it.

Tumbleweed101 · 20/01/2020 23:07

I'd love that kind of house. Unfortunately I can't afford to buy anything at all :(.

Olivia22 · 20/01/2020 23:41

Love it!!!!!

katy1213 · 20/01/2020 23:48

I'm thinking of spiders in those rafters!

HeronLanyon · 21/01/2020 06:41

I’m thinking of a foot of water in that garden/ground floor. Why oh why didn’t they take sunny dry photos ??

myself2020 · 21/01/2020 06:56

Can’t believe the price! its worth way less than our tiny terrace (surrey)
