Anna "He now pumices his heels at night and applies cream..." Have you read How to Spot Cross Dressing Tendencies in a Frenchman"?

Anna8888 · 30/08/2007 16:20

No, I mean that in the food industry (the restaurant end, where they do a LOT of eating), the men become fat slobs and wear it as a badge of honour . They boast about the 22 courses they have eaten at lunchtime (which of course find their way down their ties over their ample stomachs)

There's part of him that finds it very distasteful. He's a very testosterone driven type.

Caroline1852 · 30/08/2007 16:23

Anna - Sounds homophobic to me. They protesteth too much.

DaDaDa · 30/08/2007 16:24

Don't like logos so Muji. Bootcut jeans, Clarks shoes/Desert boots, John Smedley sweaters. A bit mod I suppose.

I've been kidding but I do think after 30 blokes chasing 'fashionability' looks a bit desperate. Style is different.

Anna8888 · 30/08/2007 16:25

?????

Anyway, in response to Eleusis, yes, you can make major headway reforming your man's look but it takes a few years . It's a whole reeducation package.

Caroline1852 · 30/08/2007 16:25

In the case of socks and sandals I would have to say something.

Anna8888 · 30/08/2007 16:27

DaDaDa - you probably need to update a little . Obviously you are interested in your look, which is very good.

Anna8888 · 30/08/2007 16:28

Socks and sandals?????????????? Never had anything as bad as that to contend with (phew).

Caroline1852 · 30/08/2007 16:31

MY SIL reformed my BILs look when she first met him. He was a conventional but smart dresser but she turned him into something entirely different. We all fell about laughing when we went round there for lunch once and he had on a skin tight dark brown velour polo-neck. I asked him if he had been auditioning for a Milk Tray advert . He is back to his old look now.

Anna8888 · 30/08/2007 16:33

Are they still happily married?

Hurlyburly · 30/08/2007 16:34

YANBU

"He would happily walk around with his bollocks hanging out of torn trousers and not bother"

Mine did just that. Was embarrassing. Also he has no sense of what colours even vaguely begin to go together.

Caroline1852 · 30/08/2007 16:36

Anna - They are not yet married - engaged. I just could not be bothered to type SIL to be!
Anna - I hate Next. For women for men for children for home. Horrible. Tell me I am not alone.

DaDaDa · 30/08/2007 16:44

Even I can see Next is shit.

Anna8888 · 30/08/2007 16:49

Next is vile. Though I haven't actually been in a store for ages.

Anna8888 · 30/08/2007 16:52

Caroline - a while back you were asking for boy's baby clothes ideas. A friend of ours had a baby boy this summer and I got her some very sweet stuff from Aztec (because I'd had some very sweet stuff for my daughter from Aztec).

Caroline1852 · 30/08/2007 16:54

dadada - lol
